Masters of the Universe: Masterverse

They do this already, white base coat for light colors over dark plastic. I’ve tried removing paint like Wasp’s gold details off the black plastic, or Black Panther’s purple detailing over black plastic. I think I’m removing just the color, but it reveals a layer of white paint underneath. I guess it’s necessary for proper coverage over black plastic. But I don’t get why they don’t do this for other colors. I’m sure it’s a cost cutting method. They lean towards using colors plastic even for details like gloves or boots. But on specific sculpts like Psylocke’s hips, maybe it’s too much work or too expensive to use colored plastic.z
 
I just noticed the mystery set of Teela/Khan/Hordak had individual prices of $22, while the new listings are 23.76.

This is why I kept my old order. And the new pages still indicate that I already ordered them, so I'm operating on good faith here, Amazon...
 
A lot of things went up for pre order today, Masterverse included, and then they are coming out THIS MONTH. Thats crazy. So much other stuff is already coming out this month. But Hordak was on BBTS. He just wasn't a pre order, he was In Stock as akajomiha said.

So, I ordered him there.
 
FWIW, I checked and the Amazon links changed from mystery links to proper named links for me, and when I click on the new listings I get that "previously purchased on...." box at the top. Decided I can wait a bit for them to ship rather than switch to BBTS (I prefer to give them my MOTU money but BBTS just got two big buys from me and I wouldn't mind waiting for these... plus I'd bet dollars to donuts they ship before 10/1).
 
I also noticed that Teela has ears sitting low on her head, around her jawline. Thats a little weird.

I'm going to have to try and give her some more hair at the front, try and cover the forehead.
 
Recently picked up Biker Mice from Mars' MODO on clearance at Walmart and I love LOVE his gun with Faker.

It's nice and light so he can hold his arm up all day. This figure really turned out to be one of my favorite Masterverse offerings.

I wonder if the Revelation Teela's head would fit? Skin tones probably don't match though.
 
Its a bit too small, I can now confirm. Not like a big difference, but I didnt like it.

That said I reset the eyes lower and shaved off the ears, then painted the hairline down over the ear are and... now it's all good. Honestly once I had it in hand, the eyes were the big issue. Once I fixed them and the ears, Im happy enough with the head.

The big shame with her is that she's.... fine. Like she could have been better; Single elbows instead of double? No bicep swivel? No sword? Come on...
 
That's too bad. I really wanted to get a New Eternia Teela, but I guess I'll be keeping the Revelation Teela with the classic look in my display for now. Money saved, I guess.
 
That Revelation Teela just won't pass as classic for me. There are too many costume details I associate with classic Teela that New Eternia gets right. It's just a lousy head. I'll still reserve judgment for when I have it in hand. But internet photos have not been flattering.

I agree, for the most part. I just don't want to spend money when my collection budget is tight for a figure I know I'm going to be dissatisfied with. That head is just atrocious to me, and if I had more to spend I know I'd be seeking out a third party replacement. It's a damned shame, because the rest of the figure is really perfect.
 
I feel like I read in here that Faker is rare?

I found two pegs full at a Wal-Mart two hours away from me over the weekend.
