They do this already, white base coat for light colors over dark plastic. I’ve tried removing paint like Wasp’s gold details off the black plastic, or Black Panther’s purple detailing over black plastic. I think I’m removing just the color, but it reveals a layer of white paint underneath. I guess it’s necessary for proper coverage over black plastic. But I don’t get why they don’t do this for other colors. I’m sure it’s a cost cutting method. They lean towards using colors plastic even for details like gloves or boots. But on specific sculpts like Psylocke’s hips, maybe it’s too much work or too expensive to use colored plastic.z
