2025-2026 Rumor/Leak List - UPDATED List 9-9-25 (after the livestream)

I rarely/never really see original training costume Kitty Pryde mentioned as a possible. Is there no interest or demand for her? I really like my X-Men situated circa issues 120-170, and she's the lone hold-out. Collection is just not going to feel complete without her.

The animated Wolverine? I'm sure it's fudgeable but the lower face is decidedly very simple and animated-y

Fair enough, I guess I never looked at pics that closely. I can't tell how much the animated styling is going to stand out to me in wave 3 - from the pics some of them look like I wouldn't even notice if they were sold as comic figures. The two faces for Emma in particular, Logan, and maybe even Roberto.

I'd love one. They could get so much mileage out of a training costume Kitty its ridiculous - Karma, Wolfsbane, and Magik could all be done on the exact same body. A slightly larger/older teenaged training costume buck would get you Jean Grey, Moonstar, and Magma. And none of that includes all the more modern students that wear similar outfits and could reuse parts.

I was eyeing Photon's legs for Kitty - the boot design is pretty close, no? Unfortunately, X-Factor Jean's cowled head, my other Kitty option, is adult-sized so it looked really weird on a smaller body.

I dunno about anyone else, but for the same reasons (plus Kitty being my third favorite Marvel character!), she's actually my biggest want for the line at this point.

And good grief, Hmmberto is right about the mileage for tooling. Coincidentally, a classic New Mutants line-up is also in my top ten wants!

In the SDCC interview earlier in this thread, the interviewer was advocating for Power Pack. I was surprised how receptive they seemed to the idea of doing the Power family, but the relevance here is they specifically talked about wanting/needing to have teenage bucks to do characters in that age range. Kitty didn't come up but she's probably the best-known X-Man that could fit in that category.

The Morph body is like one of those Spider-Verse figures. Very stylized. With the female characters, the hair looks more like rolled clay as opposed to real hair. It's the only thing cartoony about the 2 pack Jean Grey which is a tad disappointing. Ditto the new Storm. Im hoping its head swappable with the original release so I can use the improved body in the comic display.

And teen bodies Bucky and Toro are a 'no'.

Well, it's specifically Bucky and Toro that can't get approved, not teens in general. Dwight said there's no moratorium on teen or Golden Age characters.

Maybe someday we'll get Bucky and Toro but it doesn't look like it;s going to be anytime soon.

Christ, Power Pack would honestly be a bridge too far even for me, and I'm hellbent on getting basically every other hero from pre-1990 ... up to and including people like Shamrock and Tagak the Leopard-Lord.

What’s with the Bucky and Toro embargo?
Seems kinda odd to single those two out.

Let's recap: At SDCC preview night, Dwight told me that there is a figure coming out in the next six months that I'm going to love. He said he thought about me the entire time he was designing it. He couldn't tell me who it is, just that I would love it. Now, those that know me know that I've been beating the drum pretty consistently on the boards and at conventions for a Marvel Legends Jim Hammond (the original Human Torch) and the rest of the Invaders. Any and all Golden Age. I've been advocating for them since the ToyBiz days. I said "This character we're talking about. Did he appear on the cover of Marvel Comics number 1 in August of 1939?" He smiled and said "I can't tell you that. But you will be happy." He went on to say that the figure is definitely coming out, it's too far in the pipeline for anyone to change their minds. Two other Hasbro staffers told me the same thing. Be on the lookout they said because it's coming. We must be getting the Torch because I don't know who else they could be talking about. Super! So I posted about it here that night.

The next day I asked about Bucky and Toro to round out the original five Invaders (We already have Cap and Namor). Dwight said no, not anytime soon. They tried to get Bucky approved a couple of times and he was rejected. I was disheartened with that news, but still happy about Jim Hammond. Hey, you take your victories where you can find them. When I got home, I let the board know the bad news about Bucky and Toro.

One of the regulars here (I think it was @Chooch555) asked why specifically was Bucky rejected? Was it an aversion to teenage characters? I think that's a good question, so again I asked Dwight. No, he said. There is no moratorium or embargo on teenage or Golden Age characters. The reason the higher ups said no to Bucky was because they don't think he'll sell. That's all there is to it. Nothing more than that. Sad, but this is what life is like when you're dealing with the suits.

Listen, don't think Bucky and Toro are never gonna happen just because some dimwit in a suit is against the idea now. That particular dimwit isn't going to be there forever. Someday someone else may take over that position that has a little more common sense.

I remember when Jesse Falcon used to post regularly on the Fwoosh. It was cool because he was very forthcoming with information. But sometimes he could be a little TOO direct. There was a grass roots movement to get an Armadillo figure made (@hmmberto can tell ya about that) and Jesse was adamant that it was never going to happen. Stop asking, he said. We're not going to do it. Armadillo is a niche character, he said. Too much tooling. It will never sell. Just forget it.

So we have an Armadillo figure. It's actually pretty cool. Moral of that story is, there's no such thing as "never". I'm not giving up on the Invaders and neither should you. Keep asking. Anything can happen.

The end.

Keep asking for the figures you want.
Use any social media avenue you have that connects with any of our Hasbro guys.
Dan has stated that he reads all sorts of social media pages. Hopefully he's here by now.

My current mission is a Mantis/Swordsman 2-pack. I pitch them and bring them up into any conversation I can on Facebook, Insta and X/Twitter - the only social media accounts I have. Sometimes legit, sometimes comically like on Dan's X/Twitter when he posts something that is so obviously not Mantis/Swordsman appropriate, I usually post "what an odd place for Mantis and Swordsman to be" or some such nonsense. Although I may seem repetitive, but every time I mention Mantis and Swordsman and post a picture of them, other people respond with a like or a comment in support. If he so chooses and if it were ever to come up in a pitch meeting, Dan can point out that Mantis and Swordsman have gained support on social media and maybe this is the time to make them.

Dan mentioned at the panel how they finally made Feral and Rachel because fans have wanted them for a long time. Where do they hear this? Sites just like this. I specifically asked Dwight how do we let them know what we want and he mentioned Dan's X/Twitter page and his and Steve's Insta pages.

I was the Hellcat guy. That's what Dwight called me when I'd walk into the booth. I happily and jovially pitched Hellcat to Dwight for years. I saw Dwight right before she was revealed at panel and he told me I might be very happy. Did I have something to do with her being made? Did my persistence pay off? Did me mentioning her to Dwight over and over plant a seed in his brain? Who knows... but I have my Hellcat... then my Moondragon after pitching her for years after Hellcat... I moved onto Firebird with Dwight last year.

Hopefully SDComics similar story pays off for him and we see Jim Hammond very soon. Once again... persistence... with a friendly face and healthy attitude.

Keep pitching for your favorites!
