General Marvel Legends

I got my replacement today so now Crossbones can officially dual wield. Like him. Big hunk of evil beef. Overall a fan of this set.

Really enjoying Madame Masque. When faceprinting was first announced I had said that this Madame Masque costume would be a great way for Hasbro to show off the tech in a little bit of a different way. I feel very vindicated.

I've been doing a few mods on her. I was surprised they didn't take this opportunity to do a full zip jump suit body on the Widow body. I miss those butterfly joints here, so I started with shaving down her harness some. It helps a lot, but I may still go back in for a little more. I also did the typical torso rocker mod, as well. It helped a ton for crunching back, just not nearly as much as I would have liked for the forward.. I wonder if it's something in the upper body torso that's preventing her forward. I also shaved her pelvic area (DON'T YOU DARE MAKE A JOKE ABOUT THIS PHRASING) so she can bring her legs closer together (I SAID DON'T!). Once my spares arrive I would like to do a hair swap on the Classic and Modern heads so I can have neutral and windswept on both masks.

The most annoying thing about her, though, is this off white they used. It's not super noticeable on her own, but if you compare her to Sharon Carter it's super noticeable. It made my planned classic Masque custom a little more difficult than I wanted it to be.

Just a genuinely lovely set. Crossbones is a beefy badass and my only complaint about him is I can't decide if I want to keep his trigger fingers on for firearms or use those hams he calls fists to set him up beating the bag out of someone. I always liked the last version of him even though it was waaaaay too simple and basic, but this guy is a huge leap forward.

The color and paint on Masque is beautiful. Tiniest complaint - I want to use her scarred face but the ball joint is a little too tight and I don't want to risk damaging her neck (the full mask is a smooth connection and she can get into tons of poses no problem with it). I may try ye olde heat trick to loosen up her other look though because I really like the faint scarring nad gold dusting around the eyes.

There are so many Rachel looks I still want, now mostly the early look where she is in the yellow bodysuit, but that one may be a pipe dream.

Why don't you get a Paypal debit card or Cash App card or something? How have you survived!
I guess sticking this one's head on that Dark Phoenix retro card figure we just got is an option also for other looks.

I'll definitely do that. I'm also buying a second Rachel to have another head to use for now on the Firestar body to do the yellow bodysuit. The gloves or collar won't really be accurate but it will be close enough for a stand in for me to start recreating the team from the old series 1 trading card.

So when in the comics does Masque show up looking like this? I imagine it’s her most modern/current look, but what era/years? Last story I remember reading that featured her involved Kate Bishop Hawkeye, and she was still drawn in her classic look.

Invincible Iron Man (2015) #1-#5 by Brian Michael Bendis and Dave Marquez. Marquez’s art on this story absolutely carries. It’s a GORGEOUS story. Unfortunately he departs after the first arc and it’s downhill from there for me. I say it’s well worth a read though.

She has this costume for just those 5 issues. She’s back in her classic black and white jumpsuit now.

I love this set. I didn't really want to since they are both upgrades to existing figures and I prefer never-been-made characters, but they are both great. I, of course, wish they had included the Masque clone head as she was an honorary Avenger even though the costume is completely different and even though I will never display the modern head, it is very well executed.

To be totally fair here, I'm desperately hoping I'm just being an anxious toy collector here and that actually the height is fine. It's a sore spot for me because after all these many many many many many years, I feel like ML has finally mostly gotten Logan's figure height in a pretty good, and consistent, spot. I would hate to go back to ML3.
Ok... it looks like i may have been wrong on this.
