Jada Street Fighter

I couldn't quite tell from the presentation slides - is P2 Cammy silver? She looks great but couldn't quite make out the color accurately.
Yeah it's the silver bodysuit.
They're doing Alpha now as well. Must say, just comparing their Ryu with the Storm Arena one, I prefer the latter. The Jada one looks a bit too skinny and the head more like a younger SF II Ryu than in keeping with the actual Alpha art style, if that makes any sense?
Yeah I agree. Closer to what I'd like than previous, but right now Storm is nailing me dead center.

Really surprised to see them jumping to Alpha 3. I wonder if they knew Storm was doing that as well when they made that call? If they had no idea then whoever handles licensing at Capcom is an asshole.

I don’t much care for the Alpha versions of already established characters - Ryu always looks a bit boyish for my tastes. But I’ll happily grab any new Alpha characters - Rolento, Sodom, R Mika and so on. Hope we see some of those revealed this con.

Not to be that guy, because I'm super happy for everyone that's excited, but I honestly couldn't even tell you a single fact about Alpha 3. My love of Street Fighter honestly does kind of begin and end with 2 Turbo. It's nice to see they're not just banging out that roster and calling it quits, though.

Jada has really impressed me lately but going one-on-one, sculpt-for-sculpt against Storm is not a good way to go. Like robw said, whoever gets uncommonly made characters out first will earn my money. All these Alpha Ryus got me bored as heck.

I'm in the same boat. My knowledge really stops at SSIIT. I played an Alpha at a buddies house, but neber owned it. I'll probably pick up net new characters that look cool.

I'm not sure, honestly. I do like Jada's style, and there's something to be said of the whole collection looking uniform, but if Storm has the better Karin, I'll go with Storm.

Yeah, after Street Fighter 2, I have no dog in the fight. Jada will finish that roster, they're going to kill it like they've killed every other release, and I'm going to have a great looking set of figures.

More power to Jada and anyone interested as they go on to other versions.

Given that the general rule seems to be that toy development takes 2ish years, I assume these have been in development since last year before Storm Arena was announced. While Jada wouldn't have known what Storm was planning, Capcom as the licensor would have, and I think it may have been a bit irresponsible on their part to let two licensees make such similar products based on the exact same game. I think they should have handled things more like Turtles where NECA and Super7 sort of have a gentleman's agreement not to step on each other's toes. For my money, Storm's Alpha Ryu looks better and is releasing first, so I have little interest in Jada's. I'll have to wait and see what else they have planned for Alpha 3 before I decide if I go in on any of these.

Personally, I think that Jada should have switched to broad Street Fighter line instead of focusing on individual rosters after 2. However, if they were going to do an individual roster, I think they should have done Third Strike instead. That would have given them the opportunity to do 2.0s of a few early A-listers (Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li), while giving them an otherwise unique roster of new characters to make with the added benefit of not stepping on Storm's toes

They won't look uniform no matter what since the new Alpha figures are also debuting a new style of articulation and what looks like a bit of a divergence in sculpting style. So Jada or Storm won't matter - neither are going to actually match your SFII figures.

Akuma too. I don't remember who said this line is coming along too slowly, but I disagree. I'm very happy with the rate at which my Jada SF shelf is filling up.
Me, and it was about Jada as a whole as they add lines. But maybe my time dilation is off for the SF line.

I'm buying SF3 across the board, I can always flip later if I must Highlander it.

Nash is the most disappointing next announcement they could have had for this wave, given Storm Arena. I want Cody the most, but I'm predicting the third pick will be Gen. Maybe Adon.
