General Marvel Legends

Got Chuck from Target today and actually had time to open him up right away. Nice little figure, but I'm kinda laughing at the fact he came with two trigger-finger hands. I like that they offer a way to hold the Cerebro helmet but the temptation to put some of the Punisher's arsenal in his hands and have him go "We tried peace. Now we try lead" is strong.
 
I also received my Professor X today. This has always been my mind's eye version of Charles, despite generally favoring the Giant Sized era team. Thrilled to finally have him in the chair

Thanks! I still really wish they made the front section of the chair removable on its own. It would've made it easier to get him seated AND would've eliminated that ugly seam.
 
I was just gonna comment on how much I hate how they put the seam directly down the seamless hood of that chair. It could have easily snapped on top, which solves the problem of Charles getting in while simultaneously making it look 100% better?

I picked up another one of these chairs recently for the '97 shelf and I'm tempted to paint it yellow. But as I said that, I realize I'd probably need to prime it first and... I'm out. I like accuracy, but I got an airbrush and tried it and it worked great - but the clean-up was so time-intensive and then I never could figure out how to reassemble it correctly. It's still in pieces on my craft desk. Oops.
 
That pic makes me think that I should take the spare Logan Chuck wheelchair, set up Chuck in a suit in that, and put this new guy in the hoverchair. He looks great in it. (The hoverchair is one of the few pieces that NEVER gets cycled out of my display.)
 
I think my extra green suit Xavier is going to become a Gyrich or Osborne with extra heads.
My Xaviers FINALLY shipped but of course taking the long way round. They finally got to CA today so hopefully they might deign to deliver them tomorrow.

Hmmm, I'm going to have to go through my heads and see what I find. Maybe even a Cletus Kasady or Walter Kovacs head. I'll have to try some with glasses on and let you know what I decide to go with. I might even find something that isn't coming to mind right at this moment. There are likely some other non-redhead heads that would work well also. I'll experiment.
 
Did you guy hear that they're finally making Shatterstar in his second costume?

Yeah, me fucking neither. Come on, Hasbro.

That’s basically what I did. I have the green-suited Xavier in a movie wheelchair with my Giant-Size team, and Savage Land Chuck goes in the hover chair with 90s costumed figures.
 
I got Xavier to use as a base for an early comics Rhodey figure. Was taking a picture of the planned recipe to make sure the head will scale properly and whatnot and saw through the camera that Xavier's knees and elbows, arms and legs, and torso are all different shades of green. The Arms and Legs being off from the Torso isn't too bad in person, but definitely noticeable now that I know to look for it.

Hasbro has to get this kind of crap under control.
