Desert Scorpion? I was one of those who was hoping for a robotic scorpion, but couldn't be happier to have been wrong. That thing is both amazing and nightmare fuel.

How in the hell are Lenny and the team still hitting it out of the park with deluxe and figure/pet price point figures? I mean they just keep coming and almost universally are bangers. I sometimes wonder what the line would be like if every figure was deluxe and what they could include for each figure. (Of course it would be the death of my marriage and wallet if that were the case).

Wonderful, just wonderful. Can't wait for SDCC. Although I hope Wet-Suit isn't an exclusive like is being speculated right now.

Wet-Suit looks great. Love the headsculpt. Glad he has some weaponry too. I highly doubt he's a BBTS exclusive. I think they just got to reveal him.

Sci-Fi also looks really interesting. Not sure I love the energy bubble effect, as I think a laser should just be a straight line. But...it could look cool when attached. What are the two little pieces under his helmet?

Grim Viper looks cool. Reminds me of the Range Viper which came with the repainted Whirlwind in the Rise of Cobra line. For a wave filler, cost-saving figure, it's pretty cool.

Love the giant scorpion figure with the Desert Scorpion. Hopefully, this figure hits the eventual deluxe discount, because I'd like several of the scorpion. I really don't like the guns included. Guns continue to be a slight grievance for me with this line.

What are the two little pieces under his helmet?

Looks to be two interchangeable visor options for the helmet: the regular eye-covering and also full-face coverage. This mimics the two helmet options of the modern era 3 3/4 figure.

Oh and I’m totally buying multiples of Desert Scorpion. That horrifying mutant scorpion-thing is just incredible and I’m loving how horror/dark-science this line is getting. I’m gonna be freaking my wife out with those things FOREVER.

Agreed. It would have been a good time to have two heads, especially since the first one has that flap in the back that looks like it could be soft goods along with the cloak. But really I just want all the extra "plain" heads as possible, they're easily worth $5-10+ alone when well-done. Face masks to me really aren't worth anything. They're going in the parts bin with all those extra fist hands.

I always look at the gear last and it's funny, I think the grim reaper or whoever kinda gets shorted on weaponry considering how kitted out the Range Vipers always are, but that's okay. Wish Wet Suit had a rifle of some kind, but the pistol and dive knife work, especially since he wasn't heavily armed in the old school version. (Glad there's no spear gun - I haven't had a spear gun that wasn't warped into a curve yet, I hate that weapon).

Sci-Fi's later blast does feel a little busy, but I probably wasn't going to use it often anyway. Everything else about him is fab.

curious how articulated that mutant scorpion is. I would have loved a mechanical one but secretly, in my heart of hearts, I really was hoping it'd be a big honkin' horrifying mutant scorpion instead of a robot, because I love the horror stuff.

Wet Suit and Sci-Fi definitely highlight just how sad it is poor Barbecue doesn't have an unmasked head. I just ordered a "that definitely is not Chris Evans" Captain America head I've heard fits on his neck peg pretty well to see if it works, though. Hopefully it sticks. (Also this ABSOLUTELY means we get a retro Barbecue with a removable helmet in 2026, cos I spent money on a head swap.)

That's funny, same. I didn't even notice the desert scorpion had my least favorite weapon until DarthDre mentioned it. Just saw the guy, his face, the awesome scorpion, cape, and his melee weapons.

Agreed. It's funny because I just got a Gatling gun for Heavy Duty the other day. Had I known this guy was coming, I may have waited and given him something else. Really like the camo on him too. I think the only camp I have on my Cobra shelf is Firefly.

That probably comes off WAY more sarcastic than I meant it.

Articulation on scorpion looks like a couple ball joints in the tail (this is the hardest part to see), one hinge in the body, six ball joints for the legs, ball joint for each claw, maybe a rotating disc mid-claw, then the little hinges at the ends of the claws.

BTW, is this our first desert-themed Cobra? I hope they make a Rock Viper. Another Pursuit of Cobra glow-up, please.
