G.I. Joe Classified Series

I hope they eventually do Sci Fi in the Retro Card line and make his green a brighter, lime green like the 80's toy. Of course, I hope they do EVERY GI Joe Classified in the Retro line, so they look like the 80's/90's toys, so I don't know that i really needed to say this solely about Sci Fi.

Speaking of the Retro Card line, how long do you think it will be before Hasbro ever starts introducing Deluxe figures and price points into the Retro Card Line? We need Mutt and Junkyard, Road Pig, Heavy Duty etc.

Nice reveals today though. This line always impresses me. Everything the Hasbro team does in the GI Joe Classifieds line always looks great to me.

Nice, thank you! I think you're right about him being our first desert Cobra, and yes please with rock viper. Also, I wouldn't mind some sandy vipers and troopers like the environmental sets they did in the anniversary series. Desert Major Bludd too I think, and Arctic Scrap Iron if I remember correctly.
 
I got in the Fireman today. Didn't even know it shipped. This is easily a top 10 figure. It's frikken' amazing and I may have to get a couple more since they have so many options.

This is probably the first time I've 100% agreed that I don't even want a "modern" version and want to go straight to Retro. Usually I prefer the non-retros, but Sci-Fi really needs to pop. I'm thankful we are getting a variety in visor styles so when we get the eventual Retro, we can swap the visor on this version to keep them looking different.
 
I was just so psyched to see him I didn't really notice how muted his greens are. I REALLY like the reveal today, but yeah, re-release him in eye-pain-inducing neon green and I'm buying him twice.

I've been waiting for Desert Scorpion and even so I didn't know how unprepared I was for how much I was going to love him. Look at that ridiculous fucking giant scorpion. It's perfect. Look at those manly unprotected biceps in the desert! They're perfect. I need that figure today.
(I also wish they'd gone a bit more ARAH with his boots, but that's such a minor quibble.) He even has a face-plate? What? Yes! I will take two. Possibly three.

Sci-Fi looks great as well. I imagine being colorblind has really helped me not worry about, or in fact notice at all, that there was anything off about his colors. I love him. That blast effect looks like it's going to droop and fall out, but I hope not because it also looks awesome.

Wet Suit looks cool but I just don't really feel a need for him. The black suit version is really 'my' Wet Suit, so I'm good waiting for that version, if it ever happens.

I cannot bring myself to care about ...Grim Viper... ? Is that a unique trooper/character made for Classified or something from the newer comics that I'm not familiar with? Don't tell me. I don't care. I still want a re-issue of Range Viper, but this isn't going to hit the same spot so I'm gonna pass.



Got my Techno-Viper from Amazon today (Prime Day.. no idea why it took so long). This guy is really cool. His abdomen seems to sit really high off the pelvis. Is that a common thing? Do I need to boil him and try to force it down more? Anyway.. he's great. I love him. Glad I got him. Mostly as a tribute to Toys And Tomfoolery, as Alex has been making me laugh with techno-vipers for YEARS.

Grim Viper looks cool. Reminds me of the Range Viper which came with the repainted Whirlwind in the Rise of Cobra line. For a wave filler, cost-saving figure, it's pretty cool.

Love the giant scorpion figure with the Desert Scorpion. Hopefully, this figure hits the eventual deluxe discount, because I'd like several of the scorpion. I really don't like the guns included. Guns continue to be a slight grievance for me with this line.

Yeah I think people were getting mixed up with the reveals being "exclusive" to different channels and assuming BBTS was getting Wet-Suit as some kind of exclusive.

Turns out the following were the reveal channels:

The Full Force Podcast - Grim Viper
BBTS - Wet Suit
Secret Galaxy - Sci-Fi
Adventures In Collecting Fancast - Desert Scorpion

I have to believe Wet Suit is going to be just a regular release in the wave with Sci-Fi and Grim Viper. The question remains will there be a fourth figure in the wave and who will it be if there is a fourth figure?

I'm more of a Flash guy than a Sci-Fi guy, but not for nothing, that removable helmet gives you a start for a New Mutants Cannonball graduation costume since they just stole Sci-Fi's helmet for that suit.
 
Just got an email notification from Pulse that my item(s) are getting ready to ship soon. Turns out to be the Cobra CLAW (x2) I preordered. Funny thing is that it says the new ship date is 2 days ago (July 14th).

Haha, jeez they really are all over the place with these release dates and updates.

Now I have to wait and see what is going on because it looks like they may have double charged me for my Pulse Power Days sale purchase as I have two purchases charged to my CC for what looks to be the same amount a week apart.

I say looks because with the exchange rate fluctuations it isn't the exact same dollar amount, but is off by a little under a dollar (Canadian), and I don't have any other orders on Pulse that would be equivalent to what I paid for my Power Days items.
