Third Party Figures

Funny that we now have two mini hot toys Aragorns coming:

Both 1/12, both with soft goods that look great at least in promo pics, and both with not-very-good likeness to Viggo Mortensen. But the Hellcat figure has actual hair, which could be made to look more action-y and dirty.

Both could turn out to be awesome, but I think the one with the stronger likenesses will be the one that sells the best.
I know I am waaaay late on this but are there any trust worthy stores where you can order the Ranger of the North miniworks figure? I am curious about it but I am not seeing it anywhere.

As far as I know, Gundamit and 5ktoys are pretty trust worthy, but this is all from what I've heard other people say, I haven't bought anything there yet.

I'm a regular customer at 5KToys and they are legit. I don't know if they have him, but they do dabble in a variety of 3rd party figures. I recently picked up a "Rick Grimes" from them from a 3rd party company.

Thanks. I was curious about 5KToys. I saw that they were going to have the new Xesray figures which I am curious about as well so good to know that they are legit.

Love 5k.

Great communication. Bend over backwards customer service as far as I've ever had to. Prompt shipping.

I got all my prior Xesray, Tunshi Metal Slug, Romankey stuff, etc.

Trust them more than I do any other retailer at this point. Prices are always fair and their preorder deposit system is nice as opposed to other places that may charge up front if that's a concern.

Dude.. the Combatants figures are excellent. I love everyone of them I've bought so far and am just sad I discovered them late and missed out on most of the first wave. The females in the line are bigger than the ladies of Mythic Legions but not problematically so. I encourage you to buy in if you like their look.

Any vibes on that line of figures? She looks great and exactly the kind of figure I want to add to my Mythic Legions type fantasy figure shelf but always a little wary about how figures hold up when I haven't bought from them before.
My only issue with the female line is that the armor really restricts the torso movement on the brunette and the slightest movement gives nip slip. I also never found the customization to be as true as it was with the male figures, because the disassembling and removing the armor was just a pain and it also could damage the paint (not mine, but have seen it). They come with alternate feet, and there's a couple videos on YouTube of people breaking the figures attempting that.

Also some of the weapons storage was absurdly tight, and I'm very judicious with the hot water and breaking things in. And I've had the helmet wear away the paint on the hair, but I just retouched it.

This figures armor design looks to be free of that. It also says it's a new body, I don't know if it has different range from the originals.

The paint apps were pretty good but nothing compared to the face printing we're getting now, so the older figures might look a little dated. This figure looks like an improvement over that as well.

But those nitpicks are specifically for their female options. The Figures as a whole have a nice weight to them, feel very nice once you break them in with a hot water bath, and are fun to play around with. They're also a bit large than Legions since you mention.

I don't know if they're going back to print with the others, but it was just last month that I was looking at the aftermarket out of curiosity and the women were going for like 250 and up a piece. So catching up might be rough.
