McFarlane DC Multiverse

Everyone has their preference. I personally hate cloth capes and all soft goods because I've found them to be absolute dust magnets. My displays aren't enclosed. I've found the soft goods are near impossible to clean without ruining and mostly have to be thrown away with a couple of years, whereas most of the figures in my collection are more than 10 years old. On the flip-side, the traditional plastic/vinyl capes can easily be wiped down just like the rest of the figure. Now you certainly give up some things in terms articulation and such, but for me personally it's really no contest. I also hate how most non-wired cloth capes hang and can look very unnatural. I may be in the minority on this, but I generally have a strong dislike for soft goods on my figures (so no Mezco for me!).
Put me down as someone who also prefers the vinyl capes. I was very disappointed when McFarlane switched over to cloth. Besides them being dust magnets, they just don't look that good to me on small figures. At that size fabric just doesn't drape naturally because it's too light weight, so the cloth capes always look really stiff and lifeless to me. And even when they put the wire in them they have that big obvious seam running down the sides that looks like it was done on grandma's sewing machine.

I prefer the sculpted capes because they are more detailed with all the interesting folds and creases that would occur naturally if it was worn by a 6-ft tall individual. You just can't get a little cloth cape to look as good as the one in my picture below. But that's just my two cents.

If I’m reading it correctly, it appears that the SDCC/UCC exclusive Beast Boy is the Platinum Collectors Edition. Limited to 2,000 pieces. He’s painted in a more pink shade. The purple version which we’ve seen, is the regular Collectors Edition which will be available for general release.

I’m still undecided about him.

Red/Black Kenner style Azrael up for preorder 7/10.

Batwing 2.0 also up same day.

And Troika Batman.

I only want Batwing from this wave. Passing on Troika Batman and Azrael.

My favorite Azraels in the line came out very early with the White Knight and Suit of Sorrows versions.

It would have been nice to have got a regular Troika Batman and this stylized head sculpt look could have been in a 2-pack with KGBeast. I loved the Troika story but didn't care for this artists take on Batman. I've never like this stylized look for Batman.

Man, I'd love a KGBeast.

Does Troika have the wired cape, or did it also get left out?
Missing out on that Mezco One:12 KGBeast a few years back still hurts me to this day. A McFarlane version would be great.

Also, should I just accept that the red Cyborg Superman has come and gone from Target at this point? Never saw a sign of him — and I looked, I looked hard ...

Team plastic / rubber cape. The material the DCUC capes are made with. Only flaw is they don’t take paint well.

Used to be a supporter of plastic capes - Since changed my view, I feel they have improved so much, and the wire adds so much more dynamic posing possibilities. Not to mention easier to manage in a tight space.

Got my shipping notice from McFarlane, SUPERMAN/GODZILLA will be delivered on Tuesday!
I bought Flash/Titano. No interest in Kong or Godzilla. They’re not part of the official DCU. Titano is. So I grabbed him. Didn’t really need another Flash.

I kinda wish DC had more monsters to fill this line out. If I didn’t buy Kong or Godzilla, I’m certainly not buying the others like Rodan, Mothra, or Ghidorah. I could go for an oversized Solomon Grundy if it came down to it.
