Marvel Legends Preorders - When and Where

Went ahead and ordered on GameStop. They have him for $65, plus I have a pro membership, so I save a few extra bucks that way. After tax, about $10 cheaper than Amazon.

Holy shit... $65 for Juggernaut is cray-zee.

Like, I get he's a big boy but costs as much as two and a half regular Legends big... preposterous.

This will have to be a 'pick up when they put it on sale or skip it' figure for me.

Yes, this new Juggernaut costing more than the Colossus/Juggernaut 2-pack seems a little much, but not necessarily as extreme when compared to Blob, Odin, Gargantos, Cyborg Spider-Woman, etc. I'm not crazy about the price (I rarely am anymore) but still pre-ordered.

LOL... I bought Cyborg Spider-Woman for $10...

I can buy that Odin for $10 less than Juggs right now and the sculpted detail and new parts on that guy blow this Juggernaut out of the water.

Blob is I guess the best comparison, but he retailed for $55 and was only previously available as a BAF. There are any number of other Juggernaut figures to choose from. Heck I can buy the Marvel Select version for $32 right now at Entertainmnet Earth - half the price of this Gamerverse version.

Yeah, but it's half the articulation, too. While I don't like the price, I knew I was getting this the moment I saw it.

Resigning yourself to a shitty price doesn't mean the figure is worth the shitty price. This is another of Hasbro's attempts to push that price bondary.

Like its fine if you honestly think its worth the money. But much like the Masimum Spider-Man, this is one where, for me, the juice isn't worth the squeeze. If it hits discount at some point, I'll pick it up and if it doesn't that will be OK with me.

I have both the BAF and the 2-pack Juggernauts. I use the 2-pack version as my default because I like the colors better, and he comes with the swappable battle damaged parts (and alternate hands). The new Juggernaut only comes with alternate hands and a power effect for a very hefty price-tag. At that price would an alternate head be too much to ask for?

While the new figure is probably an improvement articulation wise (with the ball jointed waste and butterfly joints), I think he's a bit too big, even for Juggernaut. The 2-pack Juggs is already huge and towers over any regular sized ML figure. Any bigger and it gets to be too much for my taste. Juggernaut isn't 12-feet tall in the comics.

All that has kept me from pre-ordering the new figure. However, if I ever see one in person it may weaken my resolve and cause me to impulse buy it, despite my misgivings. And if I can ever get it on sale, all bets are off. But for now it's a pass for me.

I was thinking today about that Spider-Man and then I look at the new 2 pack Psylocke that honestly feels like she could be a maximum herself with the extra head, all the effects, and a decent amount of hands and all for $30. She has a lot of new tooling too.

Him selling out on Amazon before I made a decision might have just saved me a bunch of money as I waffled. If we hadn't had Juggernaut before I probably would've preordered, but I genuinely LIKE the previous ones and have both (I do like to be able to have a battle-damaged and not damaged one on display at the same time I kept both) but the butterfly joints are the only improvement that makes me really interested in the new one. If I catch him discounted a bit later I could sway myself to buy him, and there ARE big ol' BAFs whom I would prefer to have an upgrade to and would overpay for (Ares immediately comes to mind). I'll be okay if I miss him.

Speaking of the price points and Maximum Spidey... now that I've had him a while... I thought this would be my end-all, be-all Peter Parker and I think I'd rank Maximum as like my fourth or fifth favorite. I don't dislike him, but I probably could've skipped him, 20/20 hindsight being what it is.

So, doe Omega Red and War Machine go up tomorrow on Wal-Mart.com?

On here it says JULY 27. But on marvelousnews.com it says Omega/War Machine go up on Wal-Mart the day after Juggernaut on JUNE 27.
