Basketball (NBA, College, International)

Could Pacers/Thunder be a decent series, or am I fooling myself? I basically tuned out of the Western Conference Finals after the Thunder went up 1-0. Can't stomach it.

Indiana v Oklahoma City might be a great series. But I'll never know for a couple reasons.

1. I'm a hockey guy 1st. So I'll be watching the Stanley Cup Finals.

2. I'm still bitter about the Sonics being allowed to move to OKC. I'll never root for that team as long as that owner is still there.

So go Pacers, from a far.

The NHL and NBA usually alternate days, so you should be safe if you want to watch.

If it's the Pacers, I've got OKC in 6.

Well I did watch game 1. But only because my father was in the hospital and we could "watch" it together via texting.
That was some of the worst basketball I've watched in a long time. I know both teams are known for their defense, but man was that game ugly to watch. I felt like I was watching a junior high game it was so bad.
Anyway, I couldn't stop laughing when the Pacers stole the game late for their only lead of the entire game :ROFLMAO:

I allowed myself to believe the Pacers would win the series at 103-99 Pacers. They promptly blew the game, and likely the series, minutes later.

I feel better about Indy winning the series after game four than any of the prior games. I'd say they have about a 20% chance to do it. It's hard to imagine them winning the next two or a game seven in OKC. It's unlikely, but I can't quite write them off yet.

Fooled myself into thinking Indiana had a chance, even after Haliburton went down.

This Thunder core is going to win at least two or three more. So hard to swallow for Seattleites. One hell of a game from Shai today. Did it by himself on the offensive end.

Maybe. Things change fast in the NBA. They are going to have to choose who they aren’t keeping with the basic hard cap coming in. Used to think it was Dort but they probably should try all they can to keep him.

I mean... I wish these playoffs hadn't been influenced by major injury. If Curry doesn't get hurt do they beat Minnesota? Do they give OKC a run for their money?

And then if Haliburton doesn't go down in this series does Indianapolis pull it out?

I know Shai is great and OKC has a solid core, but this outcome was hardly inevitable.

Anyone following the Kawhi/Clippers story? I think it's a much bigger deal than most people are making it out to be. The NBA instituted a hard cap, and the Clippers found a way to subvert it. The fact that the other teams aren't making a fuss tells me that they're all doing it.
