I don't know anything about military structure or law either in Canada or the US. So that is where these questions are coming from....

Does them being part of the military open them up to military justice? Military rules and procedures? Can they be charged under military law and does Trump have the power to pardon them from military justice as well as civilian justice?
 
The war with Iran is polling at 19%. If you told me in 2015 we'd have two Trump terms sandwiching a Biden term, I probably could've guessed that headline.

The Trans rights ruling coming out of the Supreme Court today is another bat-shit crazy piece of judicial theory that undermines my faith in this country. All of the people who pushback on Medicare for All with "I don't want the gubberment in my healthcare!" sure have no problems with the government telling people what medically advisable treatments they can pursue for their own children.

And the administration also axed the Trevor Project from the suicide prevention hotline because they, you know, would prefer LGBTQ individuals kill themselves than get help on the taxpayer's dime.

In theory there are oaths and laws and rules. In practice nobody who does anything horrible under this administration will ever face a single consequence in their entire life. Sticking a rank on these guys is stagecraft.

When I had my fallout with my brother one of the things he said was "I can't handle four years of you guys complaining about everything" and my response was "I can't stand four years of every day watching him take a massive shit all over every aspect of this country." It really truly is "what fresh hell is this," but it's the entire nation. Hell is empty and all the devils are here.
 
The Supreme Court just made my job much, MUCH harder. Just imagine telling a suicidal trans teen that too-bad, so-sad, the highest court in the land says you need to marinate in your deadly dysphoria until you die or maaaaaaaayyyyyybe until you come of age and maaaaaaaayyyyybe you can still get the gender-affirming care you desperately need.

Not to go TOO far off topic...but back in the Bantha Skull days, we had a great collection of Smilies that I scoured the internet for. After my time as Admin, they even added movie stills with Smilie prompts. I saved a bunch of them, and use them every now and then. Good times.
 
It was good times but no one wants to give me that movie still smilie prompt power again. And rightfully so. I already overgif.

Imagine defending an administration's choice to shut down a suicide prevention hotline. Just imagine the mental gymnastics you'd have to do to call yourself 'pro-life.' They KNOW they are being cruel and evil. They all know. The judges. The politicians. The voters. Every one of them knows this is cruelty for the sake of cruelty and they're fine with it because it's cruelty against the people they hate.
