Thanks. I'm really just hoping ANY head that will work as a random SHIELD agent will work. Maybe an unmasked Cap figure could be Clay Quartermain.I put the Fury head on that body and it works great, probably other heads will work as well. I’ll see if I can try some later.
If I remember right, those anonymous helmeted S.H.I.E.L.D. trooper heads look good, but are a bit loose and wobbly. If it's got a standard peg I'd love to just pop one of the SHIELD agent helmets on it and make him a bruiser anonymous agent.
Dang. I do have a box of heads I can try out (of all the things only action figure collectors say...) but it's more economical to get a second set with some Amazon points since I want an extra Nick and Sharon than it is to buy those two individually on eBay, so I think I'll just keep popping heads on Dum Dum's neck til I find one that works. If I remember right, those anonymous helmeted S.H.I.E.L.D. trooper heads look good, but are a bit loose and wobbly.
Excelent frankensteining. Looks great!Had to break my Target boycott for my fav, then promptly chopped her legs off and glued chopped off Dark Phoenix legs on.
So I got around to testing this out, and my generic SHIELD trooper helmet on the Dum Dum body was not loose at all, fortunately - he actually looks fantastic. I now head-canon that that trooper talks like Patrick Warburton, somewhere between the Tick and Kronk. If I remember right, those anonymous helmeted S.H.I.E.L.D. trooper heads look good, but are a bit loose and wobbly.

Looks good! What's the best method for chopping as cleanly and accurately as possible?

I’d recommend drilling a pin into the leg above the boot and into the boot to reinforce the bond. Bending at the knee will put stress on the join, and the boot can snap off. It’s happened to lots of my older customs.I boiled both figures first, made the cuts with an X-Acto knife, used the dremel to sand them down, superfine sandpaper to sand them down more, re-boiled them for softness/pliability, then superglued the parts together.
