Convention Questions for the Legends Team...

We ARE going to get the Warriors Three, Balder, Heimdall, Mangog, and Kurse - at least - in Marvel Legends. I can feel it in my heart, my bones, my nethers, and wherever else things should or shouldn't be felt. It may well take five years and some novel release strategies (MTO, Haslab, everyone cuts off a pinky toe, whatever) but it WILL happen.

The one bright side of a delay is that by the time they get around to them, they will have hopefully adopted some of the improvements discussed in the innovations thread. I can accept waiting another several years for Fandral if it means he's closer to Gamerverse Wolverine than Bucky Cap. They will make them eventually, and they will be glorious.

Earlier in this thread, I brought up the idea of them making the Warriors Three as a MTO. I'm primarily an X-Men collector. Marvel Legends Series 3 had Wolverine and Magneto in it. I was hooked from that wave on. It also had Thor in it. On one of the message boards at the time, I think it was American Dream Comics(the precursor to Toy News International), I saw someone requesting the Warriors Three. Again primarily an X-men fan, I had no idea who the Warriors Three were. They helped to expand my knowledge of the Marvel Universe. The Warriors Three are the characters that I have the longest memory of someone wanting in this line, that have not been made. That was well over 20 years ago.

As others have mentioned we are constantly getting unique and obscure characters. Don't give up hope on these characters. I'm hoping next week they reveal a Fall MTO for the Warriors Three.

As an X-Men fan I have gotten spoiled with this line. Ridiculously spoiled. I've gotten characters, that I never thought I would have and then some. After Avenger's Earths Mightiest Heroes, I really wanted a Skurge figure. It took 15 years, but we finally got him late last year. There are alot of areas of the Marvel Universe that have that have been neglected. Thor is one of them. I would easily buy the Warriors Three to support the line and my fellow collectors. I stated earlier that the Warriors Three should be MTO. They should have been made by now, but they haven't. MTO is the perfect vehicle to land them in this line. It is their time. I hadn't actually put a question in this thread yet for someone to ask. I do now. The Warriors Three MTO when?

I would also like someone to ask about a comic M'Baku MTO. They did Mephisto, they could do M'Baku the same way.

When it comes to the Warriors Three specifically, Dwight is always enthusiastic in discussing them with me but does point out the costly stumbling blocks. My take on this is, strictly my opinion, if he could Dwight would put them into production immediately. It's Disney/Marvel/Hasbro bean counters that are the issue.
Another take is that they have probably done cost estimates which means our three stalwart warriors have been part of team conversations. Possibly early design concepts have been created. Same with Raza, Jack of Hearts and other characters that are "costly" and "pricey".

Perhaps they should consider an Asguardian box set with the Warriors Three, Baldur, and probably a unique Thor to help sell it.

Trust me. Somebody will. Probably two people. Right @PantherCult and @SDcomics? Three people will if I'm able to make it this year.

I might ask Dwight or Dan but if they just refer me to Jesse again, not a chance. Maybe I'll recruit one of my black friends to ask that instead so he can't flippantly play the 'racist' card and walk away, like he did last year.

I can't imagine the MTO model changing their opinion on classic M'Baku. It's one thing to use it to make a Satan-like character, but if the powers that be think he's racist then that seems like a nonstarter.

That is why MTO is a better option. Less chance to offend if collectors are the only ones who know about it.

Hilarious! I have cut way back on purchasing ML's and I bought all of those full price. :p
Plenty of people did. That's why the team keeps making figures like that - people buy them and are excited to do so. I'm a big fan of Phantom Rider, myself.
But there's no denying those characters are pretty low on the relevancy tier list, which is all I was saying. 'This character isn't super popular' isn't a reason why the ML team will refuse to make something.

Agreed! The fact that he knows off the top of his head 1) who these characters even are (he's not the deep Marvel lore guy) and 2) that they'd be difficult to cost out is great news - they've at least made it as far as a concept stage.

I'm sure Shuma-Gorath, Triton, Deathbird, etc were all at some point a combination of too obscure and too difficult. Until they weren't!

Regarding classic comic M'Baku, with as resistant as Hasbro seems to be I'm surprised we've not seem some creative folks come up with custom kits to use the Xemnu arms and torso/crotch as a base and add-on parts to finish it out.
I don't see why they don't just MTO it. That way it's not at retail, well not usually.
