McFarlane DC Multiverse

I’m beginning to wonder how many of these figures would be coming out if Todd had retained the license? So many of these are the-hard-to-come-by, expensive-on-ebay figures being rereleased with some changes. New heads, new paint, etc. And the SDCC Beast Boy exclusive from last year that was listed for $450.00 Buy It Now on ebay, last time I checked.
 
Aw, heck, that Billy Dee Two Face looks good. Figures that he and Black Mask are both Red Platinums. I think I've seen one Red Platinum on the shelves...maybe ever? I can't even remember the last time I saw a Page Punchers on shelves either, aside from maybe Forbidden Planet here in NY, which always bumps the prices.

I have a feeling that pretty much all the figures I want in these last few months are gonna be Red Platinums. Don't get me wrong- I'm glad to be getting some of these characters at all, and I know we're only getting them because of the Red Platinums meaning he can do lower production numbers, but still. Would be nice if he could just, you know... release them normally?

I know we're all in the same boat, pretty much. We don't often get rare things here in NY, at least in a timely manner, but on the off chance I see anything that anyone might want, I'll snag it and see if anyone here needs it. Gotta help each other out!

I'm guessing these were all planned but intended to be spread out over the course of this year and next. But things being what they are, now we're getting all the cheap and easy reuse shoved out all at once as a money grab. Just a hunch. I wonder if there will even be official solicits for this stuff or if the attitude at this point is, "F-it, whatever. Get them on the shelves. We'll save money on advertising and let instagram do it."

Dude, I’m sure we all appreciate the effort, but take care of yourself first. NYC is a small, densely populated place with virtually no big box retail options. Certainly no Walmarts. Grab and go. Pay first of course. 🤪👍

We have Target! Granted, most of them are rather small with some iffy toy sections, but it counts! I do miss Walmart, though. Sometimes I just want to feel closer to the White Trash that I am, you know?

A couple folks here have been kind enough to help me out, so it's the least I can do in return! It's fun, being on the hunt for something, and helping others helps me feel good. I'll be selfish if I find Black Mask or BDTF, but otherwise, I'm here to help! Post what you're looking for here or over in the "I'm Looking For" thread; can't make any promises, obviously, but I'll do my best!

Thanks man. But in a heavily populated urban area with a handful of options, we realize that you’re up against not only other collectors in your same situation, but scalpers too. Nasty aggressive NYC scalpers with box cutters up their sleeve’s. And I’m guessing about a 4/1 collector to scalper ratio. I’d also surmise that both Forbidden and Mid-Town have people out looking too.

I’ll probably get Two-Dee just cause of how unique it is but I never read the book.

Pissed that Kid Flash is still on the adult body instead of something closer to Damien.

Will probably wait until Mattel for their eventual Teen Titans

Black Adam, Black Mask, Brainiac, and Sinestro are must haves
 
Everything shown is the remainder from the January rumor list. The only figure not shown so far is Collector Edition Kilowog. A repaint from the 2 pack with Kyle along with a Platinum Edition figure.

I'll get Black Adam, Sinestro, Brainiac & Black Mask. I have the other Kid Flash, so I'm not sure I will get the new one. I'll probably get Sentinel since it hasn't been made before. I already have Red Hood. I'll get Beast Boy and probably Question. I'll get Alex Ross Superman & Batman as well as Two-Face. I'm good the Keaton Batman that I have.
 
The March Rumors are: (probably all repaints but some may have new head sculpts)

DC MULTIVERSE: Batman (Kelley Jones) - probably Troika Batman with a new head sculpt
DC MULTIVERSE: Batman (Neal Adams) - probably Knightfall Batman with a new head sculpt
DC MULTIVERSE: Batman (Arkham Knight) - been done, either a re-release or repaint

DC MULTIVERSE: GOLD LABEL: Robin (Silver Age) - I hope this isn't the Carrie Kelly body with a new head. They are making a Batman 66 Robin so maybe it will be that body with a new head.

BLUE SINESTRO! Announced the day after I finally picked up the Green Sinestro Collector Corps figure AND worked him delicately into my shelf. Of course.

I almost listed for sale yesterday the Unmasked Red Hood I randomly decided to buy a few months ago. Whoops. Found out he's some alternate universe version and not main? The only alt Batman I need is Beyond. And Rainbow. :)

Not sure I'm in love with the super chunky fishnets and how they kinda just stop right before they get to the pants. That looks odd. One thing I did notice- wasn't Joker supposed to come with cards? He was shown with them in the mock-up for both tiers, but mine didn't have any. Checked everywhere in and around the box. Haven't looked at anyone else's review to see if theirs had one, so I don't know. Not the biggest deal if they skipped it, but a bit of a bummer- he doesn't really come with anything as is.

I looked at the mocked up image and the Joker has cards in his hand but did not come with this hand. The body is from the Phygital Joker which came with this hand and an empty hand. I know the focus is Harley and the Joker is like an accessory but he didn't come with any accessories, not even an alternate hand or cane.
