Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

That Britt figure just borderline gave me an aneurysm.

Irritatingly this seems by design. There are very few accessory packs or extra parts packed with figures that include the pelvis. 4HM even issued an edict at one point to 3D printers who designed ML-compatible add-ons: Thou shalt not print ML-compatible asses.
They really go after people who 3D print the hip connector thing? FFS, 4H, if you don't want people DIYing it, just put sets of five up on your site for $39.99 and you know people will buy too many!

Here is their official policy on third party parts:

  1. Please avoid the “moveable limbs” of the figures as well as the "pelvis". This means the upper arms and upper legs are off limits. We love seeing fans create custom heads, weapons, armor and more that add onto our figures, but the “core” articulated pieces of the figure should remain off limits please. If you do make body part like lower arms, hands, lower legs, and feet, we ask that they include no jointed areas or moving parts. For example, a gauntlet to replace the style already in use on Legions figures is acceptable, but including the elbow piece of the lower arm with a joint is not allowed under these guidelines.

I’m hoping the recent reinforcements wave 3 was a success in offering a decently priced base figure with the option to add on more with the accessory packs. One of those was good to help kit out 2 or more figures. You could easily do 3 base figures and 1 accessory pack. Much better than deluxe release after deluxe release with just a pelvis away from a second figure.
Yes! Totally reasonable take. All the weirder then that when I leveled a similar mild critique of these recent deluxe releases - that I'd prefer 2 separate releases as opposed to the deluxe, extra parts releases - on the aptly named ML Cabal Facebook group, I had an acolyte come at me like a swarm of leukocytes at an infection.

My eyes literally started bleeding reading that the audacity.

“Please respect our IP and the IP of others” YOU FUCKNUTS WERE GOING TO SELL A BOOTLEG RED SONYA UNTIL YOU GOT YELLED AT!!!! YOU SOLD A BOOTLEG CONAN AND HE-MEN!!!!

Also Action Point Studio on Instagram breaks the “family friendly”, “no moveable joints” (they have a thorax cut and hips can plug into the pelvis), AND they’re produced in a factory… yet they still exist

I’d honestly love to see them try to stop someone. Like I said, slap some ass checks on the pelvis and it’s technically not their design anymore, they don’t own that size ball join or peg holes (which are themselves sized up Gylos)

This conversation reminds me of how fucking incensed I was by Jazwares' Brit Baker figure.

Those are separate 'jacket' arms and a jacket overlay for the torso.
This figure was literally a single torso piece from being two figures
I wonder if there is a licensing component to this (not for the 4H stuff), that if you the parts for two complete figures it would count as a two-pack in terms of license fees?

Another example was the Super 7 Robin Hood.

Even if that's true ... then just actually make two different figures that are each worth the price of admission, instead of one figure that's massively overpriced because you can only ever display it the one way. Particularly in the AEW line, it's not like they were shy about making the same character over and over, so it's not like I'm suggesting anything they weren't already doing.

Love the Draugherrd dark knight/monster figure, but why do they keep making my favorite Gorgo helmet an exclusive piece?! Dang it. Even the normal version looks awesome as a dark knight. Very cool look like the Revenant/Warrior from last year, which is one of my favorites.

I agree - and I dislike it from the environmental waste of it all as well, producing an extra 80% of a figure.
It breaks my brain. "I'll just get a second one so I can have another torso piece." Then I remember the extra figure and a half that'll go into a drawer somewhere.

The Gorgo helmet got included in the first few Legions Con exclusives by coincidence but now it’s a running joke/tradition to include it each year, often as the con version exclusive head.

Yeah, I watched the video with Jeremy explaining that. But it’s still frustrating. That is one of my favorite helmets, and it keeps being the exclusive part.
