Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

I don't really understand the elf figure. It includes the head torso and loincloth for a female figure but not arms and legs.... are the males and females meant to share the same arms and legs? Are all the elf females constructed using the same arm and leg sculpts as the males?

If the include the Mino head and hoofs in a future accessory pack I will snap it up, but those parts on that armored body look like garbage to me. Zero chance I'd pay the ask for that figure.

It occurred to me after I made my last post that the ass does not exist in Mythic Legions. It is a land truly without cake of any variety.
That immediately made me think of this, the greatest thing Mattel has done. Ever.

I only bought a couple of elves years ago, the first time they were in the line and I subsequently sold them all, so its never been an issue and I never noticed

but just make this a 2-pack, don't do that bullshit. If someone wants both characters they just have to keep stockpiling spare torsos with no arms and legs?

Sell some arms and leg packs later at least.

Honestly, this right here. I think their business model is based heavily on folks just buying the same figure twenty times to do customs but I'd buy the hell out of pretty generic limbs to build other characters with. (Hell, that being available would sell me on more figures like these!)

I asked them once years ago in the group and they said it didn't serve their model.

Which means they just want you to keep buying the figures over and over and always have leftover.

Keeps the guys who buy 500 copies of each figure and then dismantle them and selling each individual part on eBay for 15 bucks really happy, I bet.

It's just a polar opposite of what I would expect from lines that brand Kiss themselves off of kit bashing and customizing.

Not selling a la carte parts.

Limited availability in the first place on many things.

Pick a lane.

These guys wont be kept happy for long, I imagine there's a ceiling to pop-&-swappers buying these parts at around $20 a pop w/shipping, tax, etc.. Especially since it's the same 10 or so parts just constantly being cranked out.

^100% THIS

I don’t mind when they give me some extra heads, since those can go figures without unmasked portraits to jazz em up a bit.

I don’t mind when it’s extra limbs like the deluxe undead builder because then I can spice up other basic builders…

Belts, flaps, paldrons can at least be used to switch up a figure when you realize you own two who look identical just in different colors…

Extra arms can be jammed into paldron holes or wing adaptors if you want to use them, heads also can be mounted on several different poles, axes, and hammers at this point (surprised the headless horseman “hand that holds a served head” hasn’t been reused constantly at this point)…

But when it’s a torso that’s like… what am I supposed to do with this?! If I buy a second figure to use both, I got TWO torsos laying around, if I find another different figure to swap torsos between, I still a torso laying around…

I also kinda think for me it's WHICH parts they give extras of. Like, I have no asses to attach to those torsos, man. I ain't got no LEGS. I'd Frankenstein more figures together if I had more lower body parts.
Irritatingly this seems by design. There are very few accessory packs or extra parts packed with figures that include the pelvis. 4HM even issued an edict at one point to 3D printers who designed ML-compatible add-ons: Thou shalt not print ML-compatible asses.

This conversation reminds me of how fucking incensed I was by Jazwares' Brit Baker figure.

Those are separate 'jacket' arms and a jacket overlay for the torso.
This figure was literally a single torso piece from being two figures that could have been displayed simultaneously. So fucking dumb and cheap to not just give us the extra torso.

Exactly this. Often I find myself wanting to build both looks for a given ML exclusive but then I end up with way too many extra parts. I've been buying 4HM stuff since the Fantastic exclusive stuff through the 1st ML kickstarter to today. I have 3 mid-sized boxes of ML accessories and it's just too much, particularly with so much reuse. Less accessories, certainly less swappable parts, and lower pricepoint would be better.

I’m hoping the recent reinforcements wave 3 was a success in offering a decently priced base figure with the option to add on more with the accessory packs. One of those was good to help kit out 2 or more figures. You could easily do 3 base figures and 1 accessory pack. Much better than deluxe release after deluxe release with just a pelvis away from a second figure.
