Actually, yeah. I've heard good things there. But Jakks -generally- sucks at toys and I am not impressed enough with their Axel to even consider it.
 
I have no skin in the Rocketeer game. And I'm not an artist with a deep understanding of design and color theory. But it feels like the overshirt should be lighter, and the JACKET should be darker.
 
The legs seem to jut out too much from the pelvic piece and his and his arms/butterfly joints need moved up a bit. The arms look really low.

Kind of a common issue with Vala figures, though. Right? Their proportions are a bit wonked.

Pick one at random and have a look. Wonked.
Not like.. horrible. I don't mean it that way. But they do have a weird look to them and definitely a lot of it comes from the shoulders and pelvis on all the figures.
 
If the right Rocketeer figure came along for the right price ($30 or less) I'd bite. I don't have a DEEP passion for the character, but I think he's fun. Ideally he'd be in his outfit from the 90's movie, this guy looks a LOT like the ML WWII Logan that came out....which is not a bad thing. This one is a "maybe".

More MORE fun facts. That's Kirk Thatcher. He's directed pretty much every Muppet thing since 2002. He also has two different MCU characters. Of course he played the guy with the boom box in Spider-man Homecoming ("Do a backflip!" scene), and was Jovan in Werewolf by Night.
