Action Force and Valaverse

I have no idea if this is on his radar, but since the Extras line is even more pop-and-swap oriented than the line already was, Bobby should really be thinking about swappable body packs. Specifically, a cyborg torso/arms/legs would work well for the line. His stuff has a bit of the GI Joe scifi flavor, and it stands to reason some folks on the battlefield would get prosthetics if they were available to compensate for injuries... even if they never asked for this:

I also think, though it would be a tone shift, it would be a way for him to do things like battle damage. He's not totally averse to gore as we've seen blood-spatter variants, though this would be a bit more intense.

I liked how that Rocketeer looks! Hoping they will color his jacket a darker brown, like the original designs, but I like the slight redesign. I have never bought a Valaverse figure but he might be my first. I have the DST movie one and while the base is awesome, the figure does leave a lot to be desired. I could never get the others, and the Longbox Heroes one looks pretty limited, articulation-wise (those shoulders are gonna limit him like crazy if they don't move!). So this one looks like it's gonna move well, and it's likely to be a decent price too.

Anybody got pics of this stuff? The Rocketeer sounds interesting.

I don't feel like sifting through the stream to find them, so if someone else has done it and posted them online elsewhere, I'd appreciate it.

Looks like Toy News International got some high depth images:

Nice that we've got clearer pics there. I think I'm unsold on the Splinter Cell. The import one, though it is a little tall, just looks better to me.

Rocketeer though, that's not bad. That one I will probably go for.

And we know how much a lot of the audience loves their more fantastic, sci-fi stuff. Plus, it doesn't just appeal to the Joe crowd, cybernetic stuff will get you the Robocop and Terminator and Blade Runner and Cyberpunk people (me, I'm talking about me) and probably some superhero fans in the mix.

Honestly, Extras is a realm where they could do a ton of stuff. You can do monster parts too. Having swappable werewolf parts to show someone mid-transformation? I'd be into it. I know this is the mooks and bystanders line, but it's a customizer friendly line so they can go nuts.

I was JUST thinking this earlier this morning actually. Werewolf parts, sure, but also I could see mutant arms, squid arms, crab arms, all kinds of stuff. Head and arm packs that get real wild and goofy could be a really good way to expand that line once "dude in clothes" is played out, which I think won't take much past a second wave.

I do wonder whether he'll be doing women in the Extras line as well.
I forget that the Rocketeer isn't actually that old of a character, he's just portrayed that way. I was looking up if he was public domain or actually licensed and saw he was only created in 1982.
Yep. Neo-pulp, just like Indiana Jones. Which is why they live side-by-side on my shelves. Great stuff though. I need to watch the movie again.

Oh man, and combined with the neo-pulp stuff and the WWII line, options like squid arms would get the Hellboy fans on board. You could make all sorts of Lovecraftian German monster men.

And yeah, hoping we get women in this line, of course. If you're making mooks, you gotta include the one punk lady that every gang in every beat 'em up game and 80s movie has.

The 80's punk archetype is one you gotta have in there. Have a couple of mohawked dudes mouthing off to your heroes. Be a perfect place to reuse the middle finger hands he made for those hand packs. Anything he makes for that can be reused for his definitely not the Dreadnoks faction (I can't recall what it's called, the one with the new knife guy).

Absolutely. If I can't make a proper Streets of Fire, Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, or Final Fight display out of this line, I don't even want to hear about it anymore. For too long our Terminator figures have had no one to steal leather jackets from.

Fun fact, the guy in that scene also made the song.
Would you look at that, an actual fun fact.
