NECA '87 Toon TMNT

I really haven't even thought about looking on Amazon. It is so ingrained in my brain that cartoon Turtles=Target that I didn't even think about resellers. Looks like they are pretty pricey there right now though, but I know that fluctuates depending on the seller.

There's good deals on older toon stuff on Amazon every now and then. I think it's 3rd party shops that thought they could scalp during Haulathons etc, then are left with peg warmers once the buzz died down.

The Foot Soldier did end up shipping from Target. Should be here on Friday.

I hope some more of the older stuff randomly goes up for sale on Target’s site.

On another note, I ordered the street scene from NECA weeks ago and they still haven’t shipped. Not sure if I should be concerned.

Whatever you do, don't e-mail them and ask about it! You will be sternly told to be patient like you are a small child waiting on your Shrinky Dinks to come out of the oven.

Jokes aside, as far as I know wasn't that an in stock thing and not a preorder? I thought they just made extras after the previous preoder and were now selling those. If it was in stock there's no reason it should be taking that long. In stock orders from Neca for me usually ship out in a few days but maybe I've been lucky.

They did respond saying they’d escalate it to the warehouse. And yeah, it was worded as being in stock.

It’s sold out now, though, so concerned they forgot to ship mine and then sold out.

That's why you got actual help then. Somewhere out there Randy, Blaine, and Trevor are dressing in riot gear and loading into a black van to show up at the house of the person that got an extra shipped for free so they can wrestle it back from them to give to you.

Hopefully they still have one for you though. Kinda wishing I'd ordered an extra one now for the eventual next part of the sewer diorama but I think they will put it in production again if they do more of those.

Yeah, I don't have too much experience ordering directly from NECA given I got into the line so late. I actually have a decent amount of non-TMNT NECA figures from before but they were all purchased at retailers. I think the only thing I've successfully ordered directly from them was the Universal Monsters set meant to look like the Burger King Kid's Club toys. If I remember correctly, it was solicited in early 2024 to be delivered by fall 2024 in time for Halloween but kept getting pushed back and I ended up getting it this past February.

I had ordered UM Shredder Dracula when he was in stock on the Target app, and he took 3 weeks to ship (from NECA directly as most Target NECA orders do). He finally came this week, but it didn't update until AFTER I had him delivered that day.

I got my 2 Foot Soldiers pretty quickly from Target. They actually came last Friday. I saw on Reddit today that someone had found some in a store, so maybe this is a second run of them. It would make sense because there are always people who want to grab a couple of army builders like I did. I do wonder now that I've ordered the limit what would happen if I placed a second order... hmmm.

NECA revealed their Ben Cooper Kid SDCC exclusive yesterday. With it being Tuesday, might we see what they have in store for this line this afternoon?

I was doing some internal speculating and then I remembered we already got that Turtle van summer tease. I guess that could the SDCC set or an unrelated release. I just hope it's easy to order.

Is it generally easy to get their SDCC exclusives on their site? Or is like sell-out-in-30-seconds territory?

Also, I noticed the Technodrome and Blimp on the box art. Hint of things to come? I can imagine a version of the Blimp is possible to make, but the Technodrome seems unrealistic.

Also, still hoping they do a reissue of the van.

For the street scene reissue, I ordered about a month ago without any movement. They sent me an email today saying it's shipping soon, though.

I've always gotten what I needed but I wouldn't call it easy. The first day is usually the hardest but each day there are less and less people trying so less competition.
