Forum Feedback

Oh I meant a color change of the thread title once there is new content in it instead of the bold. I can see the hold fine but others mentioned it’s pretty subtle.

perhaps making the thumbs up be a bright green, and leaving the laughing emoji the stock yellow? Here's a quick mock-up of how this site's thumbs up would look for this idea.

HULK LIKE POST.

I made the last two big changes on my list. Let's start with the obvious:

1) The colors have changed. We're going with green & yellow (go Sonics), at least until a graphic designer tells me otherwise. There's still a light-mode option in the settings if you prefer a white background. If you notice any issues with contrast, let me know. I tested both light and dark mode this morning and couldn't find any issues, but that doesn't mean there aren't any.

The original XenForo-branded colors are still available in your user settings if you don't like the green and yellow for whatever reason.

Profile > Preferences > Style dropdown > Default style

2) New Home button link. Over the last 24 hours, you may have noticed that the Home button no longer redirects to the forum. Instead, it takes you to an improvised news feed. This won't host toy news like Toyark, but will feature written content like the top 10 and opinion pieces. My tentative plans are to post Figure of the Year articles from a few folks every year. If you'd like to write something different, like, for example, a column on tariffs and the toy industry, PM me. These features won't be paid at this time, but it's a possibility going forward if I monetize this place.

For now, the only thing there is a welcome message.

Heh, yeah... I just logged in again and found it all looking a lot more Irish!

I definitely think the home thing is a good direction. If you ever decide to do a news site, that could be great, but I'd only do that if the site has a unique approach/view, and/or leads/connections, if that makes sense. Otherwise, it may be a lot of work for little return. Or if you and/or other staff members just wanna get into events and toy fair as press I guess. I dunno, I've never handled much on any website beyond the creative aspects.

Just came over from the Fwoosh and wanted to say thank you for everyone who helped set this up. I hope Fwoosh can get back online, but for me, at least, it's been bugging out for a long time. While I was able to log in and post, the website itself was littered with an explosion of pop ups and broken code sprayed over the interface. Same on both Chrome and Safari. Then it stopped letting me log in, so I couldn't post about it!

Anyway, good to be back in the toy talk mix. Thank you.

I also just made the jump from The Fwoosh and appreciate everyone involved in getting this forum up and running. I really missed my toy community.

For purely selfish reasons, I'd love to see the avatar boxes to the left be just a little wider so it doesn't hack my username into:
RunestoneCowb
oy

If it makes you feel better, I can see your name correctly on mobile

Definitely shows up fine on mobile. Could you edit the user name and put a space in it to split it up on the web based client? I think this forum allows a username change every so often. It may be something TSI can fix though.

Glad to have you here.

I noticed that as well. Fixed.

Go Sonics! Criminal that they were allowed to move.
