Justice
for Starhawk!
You can't fuck around and find out with Masterverse anymore apparently. Preorder or pay the price later like I did with BA Skeletor.
Worst case scenario then is you get a figure you don't want and sell it for 3 or 4 times what you paid for it later!
Knowing Mattel, it's just a distribution problem and there's like 1,000 movie Beast Man figures rotting on the pegs of a single store in East Bumfuck Nowhere, Montana. Some industry insiders, particularly with Mattel, have mentioned before that a lot of rarity and supply issues are just actually distribution issues in disguise. Same production numbers, same overall demand, but way too much product ends up where it doesn't need to go.It is kind of mysterious to understand how a figure becomes rare or sought after. Most of Masterverse is pretty easily accessible and even cheap on secondary. But not Webstor. Not Battler Armor Skeletor. Not movie Beast Man. What happened there? Actual demand? Low supply? Both? I do know that both Webstor and BA Skeletor are among the most awesome figures in the line. Their popularity and redesigns do make them unique and interesting to look at and handle. But I wouldn't say that other figures aren't at that level.
This seems like such a fixable issue too. Like literally just leaving money on the table.Knowing Mattel, it's just a distribution problem and there's like 1,000 movie Beast Man figures rotting on the pegs of a single store in East Bumfuck Nowhere, Montana. Like some of the Origins Deluxe figures that rotted on pegs in the US but Canada didn't get them at all. Super high demand up here because there aren't any, but they're basically on clearance in the States at the same time.
Webstor is pretty cool. And he has a lot of unique items and pieces that probably never get used again…. Just make more him imo, or do a new version that is just slightly different, whateverStill upset about Webstor...![]()
Yeah. It's a combination of two (or more, depending on how you want to break it down) issues; Mattel, and occasionally other toy companies, just have the worst fucking distribution and don't seem inclined to fix it or to even explain the potential issues properly to their retail partners so they can fix it on their end. This seems like such a fixable issue too. I remember seeing the same 4 Andra and fisto figures sitting on the pegs at my local target for 18 months
