Neck range is really limited, hips are very tight, causing some breakage. I haven’t had the problem with the hips; they’re tight, but I’ve been able to move them with care. I like the figure a lot personally, but I could see how others have gotten burned and pissed off by it. Especially given the price.

I needed to shock oil the hips, which is rare for Marvel Legends. They were twisting and would have broken otherwise.

And whatever was wrong with it was bad enough that... I think it was Dwight that commented on it at one of the cons shortly after release. They experimented and it didn't work and they won't do that again.

Oh wow, I didnt have that hip issue on mine, I didnt know it was a widespread issue. I just checked again and mine seems ok.
And yeah the neck range is limited, I'll pay that. It doesn't bother me stacks, but I get the complaint.

Yeah, the hips on him are a definite design flaw. On mine at least the ratchets were SUPER prominent and even the usual heat and shock oil didn't really help. Bummed too cos I really liked the figure otherwise.

I strongly agree that Marvel Legends need lower-leg swivel. That said, this thing looks incredible. I can't wait.

With that on the shelf soon, despite its misgivings I’m going to have to display the appropriate Coipel Loki figure from ages ago. No other Loki (female Loki aside) will look right with it.

Hopefully Hasbro does right by us and upgrades that figure. Wouldn't be fair to have a good Coipel Thor without a Loki to go with him.

Not to mention the trickster's never had a good figure.

I'm really stoked for Max Thor. Only complaint is I wish they'd done a straight up Coipel likeness, but I know ML is mostly allergic to that.

And that's a frikken' crime. I'd happily take a classic with sculpted scales, and then a Coipel Loki.

I don't know if you like wired capes or not, but those alone are around $30 now, so $35 for Thor and all his accessories isn't a terrible deal.

I didn't order Maximum Thor, because it's a look from an era I don't collect, but I will say it's the first one Hasbro has done that actually seems like a "Maximum" offering.

I don't know if you like wired capes or not, but those alone are around $30 now, so $35 for Thor and all his accessories isn't a terrible deal.

Lol... you must be new here () I dislike cloth capes... and all soft goods... on my six inch action figures. So the wired cape is a bug not a feature for me.

Yeah, I wrote that without thinking who I was writing it to. Still, from a cost perspective, $35 for Thor and all his stuff isn't bad. You'd just have to buy a $30 bug.
