Random Observations and ?s Re: Older Marvel Legends

Of the two Enchantress releases, I much prefer the face and colors of The Raft version. It's such a subtle difference, but what a difference paint does make.

And she is definitely a figure who is positioned in front knelt down because her legs are noddles.

Regarding the original toybiz movie porfessor x: his legs are supposed to be wobbly and unstable on purpose. I read about it in TOYFARE magazine back in the 90's It was to accentuate the fact that the character couldn't stand up.

i remember showing this "action feature" to my best friend at the time who promptly laughed his ass off

That was my favorite feature about him! So ridiculous. I remember making it my mission to get him to stand up- a couple times I tried for what seemed like hours to try and get him to stand. I think I got close once or twice- he held the pose for a couple seconds before toppling over.

The first X-Men movie figures were really all over the place. Storm came with a stand base that lit up like lightning. It was a good thing she came with a stand, because her legs were in a contraposto position where her feet were very close together, in heels, so it was impossible for her to stand on her own. You plugged her back into the base and her arms would raise as the lightning lit up.

Was it Jean who came with the rubber Senator Kelly? I remember daring myself to stretch that thing as far as I could, my brother warning, "you're gonna break it.." And of course, I did. Little clear beads scattered everywhere. Almost like the silica beads they pack into figures with cloth goods.

Mystique had the rubber Wolverine suit. Sabretooth came with the fall apart security guard (who was holding a donut, like a true stereotype), Toad came with Jean crouched down, encased in his own phlegm. I can't remember what Cyclops or plain clothes Rogue came with. I think Rogue just came with a cloth jacket.

Edit: I was wrong about Toad. A google search showed me that it wasn't who came with Phlegm Cocoon Jean, it was Cyclops. Toad just came with plain old phlegm. Stretch like Senator Kelly!

Magneto came with a wrecked subway train display base (vastly out of scale) that had some magnetic feature. Wolverine came with girders that wrapped around him. Then there was the Wolverine/Rogue 2pk, where the action feature was that you could stab Rogue with Wolvie's claws (that sprung back into his hand, while triggering a set of claws to pop out of Rogue's back! Pure insanity.

Mystique with her sexy pose wearing the Logan skin suit...(shudder)

Toad also came with a huge removable green tongue. (vomito)

I used the severed remains of mutant Senator Kelly as a rubber mask accessory for my custom 6" Gi joe figures I made years before classified.

I think Cyclops just had the 'Light-up" eyes Feature and removable visor? Rogue's budget was blown on her soft goods.
