Masters of the Universe: Origins

Just a reminder that Stonedar is now available to order on Mattel Creations (only Club Grayskull members for the first 24hrs).

Apparently Stonedar sold out in a couple minutes on the Mattel Creations UK site but is still available on the US site. I imagine he'll still be readily available on the US site for tomorrow.

I grumpily ordered Stonedar because I want one but it still chaps my ass I couldn't get Rokkon.

I did get Stonedar earlier. So, all I feel like I HAVE to have from Mattel at this point is Two Bad and the 3 Movie figures. If they make anything like Rotar, Twistoid, the Giants, or the Dinosaurs I'd definitely buy them. But I don't have to have them. Before they wrap this line up, I have to have those other 4.

(Nelson from the Simpsons): HA-HA! You don't have Rokkon.

I luckily have Rokkon so Stonedar was a given. Not happy about it though because of the usual MC crap. "Oh look another vintage character, but sorry Canadians you'll have to pay $33Cdn plus $15 shipping so pony up $48Cdn for one Origins figure."

Maybe I'll get two to ease the sting on shipping........yeah no I'll just continue to bend over and take it from MC because this is one of the vintage characters I definitely want to get. God I'm such a simp for vintage Origins......:poop:

Probably just a fun cameo, but:

Somehow it took until now for me to draw some sort of conceptual line between these and those Beastbox things 52 Toys does. Those have gotten fairly impressive over the years.

Well that was probably the quickest turnaround for me from Mattel Creations. Ordered my Stonedar on Tuesday and got him today. I don't think I have ever received an order from MC in under two weeks, ever. Interesting to note that Stonedar is still available on MC, along with Blast Attak, etc. Looks like Origins is finally slowly fading away. I mean does anyone remember the last time an Origins exclusive sold out in under a week? Let alone day off release?

Just my anecdotal view, but it seems like across the board different toy lines are starting to lose some steam. Very few exclusives are near immediate sellouts anymore, and even site specific exclusives are seemingly lasting longer and longer on sites than previous years.

Again just my anecdotal viewpoint.

As for Stonedar himself? Great update to the original toy even though the gimmick does hinder the figure's poseability somewhat. Also glad that Mattel is sticking with the slip cover cardbacks to allow for "opening" the figure and being able to put them back in packaging.

I received wave 3 of 200X from BBTS this weekend, and I still haven’t brought myself to open any 200X figures. I think what’s stopping me is that we don’t have Teela yet. I’d really like Trap Jaw, Merman, Whiplash, Fisto, Man E Faces, SyKlone at least. Sucks that this line is probably on hold while the movie merch comes out.

I got Stonedar in the mail, and while he is exactly what I expected, he is a great looking figure. I always loved Rokkon and Stonedar as a kid, so I'm happy to have them both in Origins. I really want all those 200X figures too NORM. A lot of those are rumored for upcoming Waves, and we know Deluxe Roboto and Keldor are coming too.

But I want them NOW. I don't want to wait until next year. But I just hope we get them, and Mattel doesn't decide between now and then just to cancel the Origins line.

I can't believe we're at the 'we'll toss out one or two vintage characters a year' stage for the last year or two and they haven't even legitimately hinted at Two Bad.

They even have many of the Two-Bad parts ready to go!!! What do they need? New heads, new armor, a couple more parts with the Filmation body base?
