Marvel Legends Maximum Series

Am I the only person that feels like a Maximum Deadpool would be a waste of a slot? I can't see the appeal in what you can do with a Deadpool that makes him worth that price - especially when there's been so many Deadpool figures already.

I think I agree, in terms of us already having several Deadpools beyond which there would likely be little improvement for a Maximum beyond a batch of accessories/heads, which we also have quite a few of at this point. HOWEVER a Deadpool Max probably equates major sales in the eyes of the number crunchers.

Personally, Wade would be lower on my list than Punisher, Wolverine(s), Dark Phoenix, Magneto, Cap, DOCTOR DOOM (DOOM!!!!), [classic] Iron Man, Thor, Daredevil, Thing, Human Torch, Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman . . . not because I don’t love Deadpool, but I think all those guys and more are more needful of a Max release and also would sell.

Yeah - I just think so many other characters have the edge on needing a truly great figure or needing a lot of stuff we've never gotten. What are we really -missing- from previous Deadpools? His figures typically have had above-par articulation/poseability. Between all the different figures we've had fucktons of weapons, some hand options, goofy stuff like pirate-DP and underwear-DP, different heads. Like.. don't get me wrong, I can certainly think of things to put in a Deadpool Max box (different eye-shapes for his heads, I guess?) but it feels so much less necessary than something like a truly great Thor, classic Punisher, or a Mafex/Mezco-style Wolverine.
 
Do I need another Deadpool? No. Will I buy a Maximum Deadpool? Probably not, since I have every other version released. But this figure will probably sell very well and will just be a layup of easy money for Hasbro. They've already over various Deadpool figures released all the accessories you could want. Dogpool, Headpool, Tacos, Guns, Swords, Knives, etc.

It's all there, already made. Now Hasbro gets to slap it all in a box with the Maximum label on it and charge $50. And I believe it will sell very well.

But to me personally, I completely agree. it feels like a waste when I want other characters more. And X-Men characters are my favorite characters to buy in Legends. But I don't need anymore Deadpools.

Stupid thing is, I have 100 Wolverine Marvel Legends. And if they let out Maximum Wolverine.......I'd pre order it the second it went up. So, between Deadpool fans that feel the same as I do about Wolverine, and those who have missed out on previous Pools, I think Hasbro has a winner here.

Even though to me, yes, I agree Damien. It is a waste. I want Punisher, Thor, Daredevil, Wolverine, Iceman, etc. way before Pool Man.

And they've really done all you can do, or all you need to do with Deadpool. Some other characters do still need that great, epic figure made.
 
And to be clear, I'm 100% NOT saying a Max Deadpool won't sell. It obviously will. I'm just... so not interested and pretty disappointed in that idea that that's probably what they're going to go with.
 
I just want an Iceman. A good one. With multiple heads and hands and a GOOD ice slide. There has never been a good Iceman figure. Ever. I've loved Iceman since he was an Amazing Friend and no company has been able to give me a figure worthy of that love.

I'm not excited about a Maximum Deadpool. I have DP figures and there's nothing more I really need from this character. They got me with Spider-Man because of the McFarlane factor....I'm not as much into Liefeld. Is DP even confirmed or is it just something fans generally believe will happen?

They have more of a chance roping me in with a Daredevil.

I want this too. I was the envious ML buyer looking over at those DST Iceman, Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman figures wondering why Hasbro couldn't give us this caliber of figure for these iconic characters. If they pulled out all the stops on Iceman, packed in all those neat ice effects, painted him up to look all frosty (although looking at Spider-Man and Hulk, paint still doesn't factor in to Hasbro's definition of "premium") I'd be all over him.
 
With Iceman I can't even pinpoint one look I want. I really want a good white version with maybe a blue wash but I also want a translucent blue with a frosty coating. What I know I want is for him to be beefier. All the ones we've gotten have just been too skinny for me.
 
Looking more closely at the DST Iceman, that one isn't bad. I'd probably buy him if he wasn't so big. He could use the white drybrushing though to make him look more frosty and less clear. But he's definitely the only recent Iceman figure that actually looks like ice.
 
I’m in the camp of those not needing another Deadpool. I’m sure they’ll do a nice job with him, but can’t imagine what more they could offer that we don’t already have from the umpteen Deadpools they’ve made. Daredevil, Cap, Wolvie, Iceman, Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman are all better candidates.

If they make an Iceman, I’d prefer him to be opaque. Translucent is ok, but not always ideal to see his innards through his skin. Or at least get some frosty paint over that translucent body. Ice slide needs to be prioritized, they’ve never made a good one for him. Select got close. Give him a round top head, flat top, spiky top. Fists, knife hands, maybe grip if they give him some ice spears to grip or something. Use a similar build to Max Spidey. But cut in angles like Crystar.
