G.I. Joe Classified - News & Updates

British forces have green (in color) berets, but they're kelly green, not OD Green. Plus most UK forces wear the larger "salad bowl" helmets. Like I said with the "tacticool" RPG, I think it started as an American Green Beret inspired figure that then became Yo Joe Potpourri. The closest UK look to this figure would be British SAS as they sometimes use American style helmets, though the helmet padding on this figure appears to be sculpted on the outside of the helmet for some reason.
My point wasn't that this is a UK spec ops guy. It was that this was probably always intended to just be a generic 'special forces guy.' Neither 'American' nor 'British' in design.

Whenever the discussion turns to realistic portrayals of guns or military gear I am so grateful I'm absolutely like, gun-blind. I've literally dedicated five minutes of my life to real-life gun knowledge and all of that was on a film set for a one scene in a role playing a spy who got killed after two lines.

And I'm pretty sure Roadblock is an Ankylosaurus kinda guy.
Fair. I am swayed to your opinion.

Always check to make sure the firearm is cleared when handling. Looking down the barrel like a spyglass to be extra sure may affect cognitive function however.

I turn my rifles upside-down and use a small peening hammer to bang on the buttstock. I also put a lot of lithium grease in the receiver so nothing gets stuck in there. You really want the area near the ejection port, in particular, to be extra slippery.

i like the idea of DIRE theme continuing but reusing that Cthulu head is lame. A new DIRE head would have tempted me to get this figure.
Cosign. I don't like when 4HM reuses erstwhile unique character heads with every colorway, and I'm not a fan of reusing Crystal Ball's dire head here.

Hopefully he comes with another head too.

The Aussie's do that with Vegemite.

During the gun shopping sprees in the John Wick movies all I hear is:
"Ah, the mega-dick 3000, an excellent choice, Mr. Wick. Made with the finest gunmanium, this clickety banger holds seventeen rounds of armor piercing titanium coated jizzbangs, perfect for the discerning client."

I'm pretty sure that's an exact quote from the script, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

I'm not a huge gun person but I go on the Internet firearm database a bunch to see what weapons they use in particular movies so I can attempt to get 3D printed versions for my figures...

Guns are like a lot of things where I don't really want to get immersed but I like knowing a little here and there and getting things correct.

For some reason, I'm able to give a pass to a lot of stupid gun things more than I can do with other stuff. It's not a lack of knowledge, though. I actually know a fair bit about guns. I helped choose/design toy guns for a couple of years (tertiary 'helped' here), and I love military history, so I've researched guns like.. quite a lot. But for whatever reason, it doesn't really bug me too much if a gun is 'wrong' unless it's like.. REALLY wrong. And even then, it kinda depends.

But I get WAY fucking butthurt about swords being wrong. Like immediately and vitriolically.
