Super 7 Ultimates Thread

Both look great!! The Skycutter looks really good, and is a much needed Mutant vehicle.

However.......... Vultureman at $65 is pushing it, and is probably the new price going forward (soon). Glad I have the first, oversized release as that is good enough.

$185 for the Skycutter? Get the F#$% out of here with that nonsense. It can sit and rot at that price. However I'm sure it will still fund because enough collectors with the cash will want one.

I was absolutely interested in the Sky Cutter... heck, at an affordable price it would even make sense to get multiples for the Mutants.

I had talked myself in to buying it at any price up to $150 and getting multiples if it was $125 or less, though I knew that was unlikely.

$185 is just a brdge too far though. I don't think I can justify it at that price.

I am tempted by the updated Vultureman - the deco is significantly different from the first effort. Bit if $65 is the new basic asking price for Ultimates there is just no chance the line can survive. There arent enough must haves to lay that kind of money for.

kind of a bummer. I know I'm the chief... not proponent, but ongoing customer, I guess - for Ultimates hereabouts, but even I'm not going to pretend these offerings are good, The value proposition just doesn't get it done.

I think I held out longer than anybody in supporting Super7, but these are an absolute no from me.

I'd thought I wanted a more reasonably-scaled Vultureman, and the skycutter is iconic, but now that I'm looking at them, I can't muster up any interest. The price tags are just pudding.

Turns out the Vultureman is toy based in it's look. So not only is it $10 more than previous standard Ultimates releases, but it is the toy look and anyone wanting a Vultureman look from the cartoon that is better scaled to the other mutants will have to wait even longer.

Where has it been confirmed that this Vultureman is smaller?

I can't recall seeing it from an official source anywhere. I feel like someone made an assumption somewhere when it was first shown and it kind of spread around the internet. I may be wrong, but it wouldn't be like Super 7 to do new tooling for a toy color repaint. All the rest have been mostly reuse with a few new parts.

I would have been SO mad if I'd bought this because I thought it was a smaller version.

I know nothing of Vultureman as a character or the previous release, but as someone familiar with Super7 I would be very surprised if this isn't just a straight repaint. The only re-release I've encountered by them with considerable new tooling was the battle damaged Foot Soldier in which they had to sculpt some battle damage. Otherwise, they usually just toss in a new accessory or something.

Only Super7 is this fucking tone-deaf all the time. Literally ONLY Super7. Brian is such an absolute clown.

The Electro-Charger was $150, so $185 seems in line with the line's pricing. I would say for better or worse, but at this point it's all worse.

And not to bag on anyone's dreams, but expecting Super7 to make an all-new smaller Vultureman when they haven't bothered to make Conan a new smaller sword after a handful of releases is...well...crazy.

I'm so glad that there is virtually nothing else from Super 7 I felt was must-have aside from the Dungeons and Dragons line and they weren't finishing that anyway.
