Masters of the Universe: Origins

Great Black Wizard is one of those concepts I was always gutted didn't make it into Classics. I do like the original Axl concept drawings better than that in hand sample, but the Origins figure would get a lot better with a helmet.
 
I’ve been waiting for Great Black Wizard for a loooooong time. Very excited to see him happening.
 
I will definitely get the Great Black Wizard, as he is a character I have always wanted to be made in figure form. But surely, he comes with the helmet, right? Without that horned helmet, I don't even know what the hell they are thinking. That's such a huge feature of the character. He really needs the helmet and a cape.

But I assume they will come with the figure. If they don't.......we riot at dawn!!!!
 
Someone else I always wanted was Hans Hammer Holder. If we are getting The Great Black Wizard, maybe we will get Hans at some point. I would buy any and all of those Axel Giminez concept characters. But during MOTU Classics when they were first revealed, I always remember my favorites were Fang-Or, Hans Hammer Holder, and The Great Black Wizard.

Surprised these are leaking internationally while POs haven't even gone up stateside. Randor looks perfect.
 
That King Randor looks great! I really like Marlena too, but Randor is flawless. I wonder if these will be exclusive to somewhere though. Let me rephrase that. I am scared shitless that Marlena and Randor will be exclusive to somewhere.

They are on to 200X. So, where will these Cartoon figures go now? I hope they are just fan channel, and not Target or Wal-Mart.
 
Over on toynewsi, they have pics of the concept art, Mark Taylor Man E Faces and He-Man. They both look really cool, but that He-Man comes with 2 head portraits. One with blonde hair and one with black. And they both have different style helmets on. I'm going to need 2 of those.

What do you guys think of them?
 
I didn’t see the pics of MEF but I’m really digging that sketchbook He-Man. I would get two if it’s easy to find. So far all the sketchbook figures have been, and have even hit clearance.
 
its too bad the helmets cant be easily swapped between those two sketch He-Man figures. i prefer the horned helmet with the black hair. maybe they can be swapped with some effort.

I THINK the actual head sculpt is the same, and the helmet/hair is one separate piece glued on. So you're probably stuck painting the blonde hair if you want it black.

It is a cool figure. Wouldn't mind having this one if there's an easy way to get it where I can also bundle it with something else.
 
I really like this sketch He-Man figure a lot. This looks like one of the best and most fun figures in the entire Origins line. Just a really cool Barbarian figure. Like all sketch figures, I will not be using this as He-Man but making it a unique character. Well, 2 unique characters if I get 2 of them. Because I plan to have one just as it is out of the box, then another with the blonde head on and maybe no chest armor.
 
I like it well enough. I'd like it a lot better without the bared teeth.
