G.I. Joe Classified - News & Updates

I only saw the packaged pick first and thought "AI."

Glad to see I was wrong and these look great. They'll go well with my Rattler.

Guess we'll have to wait and see the inevitable Joe repaint for the container.

Not something I'd have predicted, but exactly the sort of thing that I think is cool when lines I'm into do it. I don't have the Rattler so I won't be getting them, but cool idea. Presumably the Joe version is on the way for the Dragonfly?

I do want to know more about that case. That case does something cool. What does it do?
Such a bizarre choice, but I kinda love 'em? Apparently half my collection is some form of two random characters who are basically Rosencrantz and Guildenstern or Waiting for Godot but terrorists.
Yeah I feel that.

They've apparently already landed in the US, as has Zanya and one other item we have the code for but not what it actually is yet, along with a Retro wave that may be the Zap wave or the Wild Bill one.

24 hours ago I was dissatisfied with my Rattler. Now that it's a dio piece, I'm all on board. Cobra ground crew is dumb AND awesome.

I've never worked a flight line before, though. Anybody know what that 3-point strap is for?

The strap is mysterious, but presumably it has something to do with the crate? The crate itself is interesting too. It has a removable top and bottom, it looks like it should fold out, and unless I'm mistaken, looks like it can be connected side to side. I'm assuming it's some sort of weapons storage for the Rattler itself. Maybe the straps lock the payload in?

I wonder if it's meant to be able to connect to other dio pieces as well such as the combat outhouse.

Container reminds me of the old 3-figure carrying case you could wear on your belt.

I think you are right JakeEkiss. There is definitely modular fortification style connection points on that crate. The back of the box shows pins will hold the bottom to the side pieces. The side pieces snap together like the walls of the modular fortification units. Maybe top. Pins in top. That means these side walls can be combined with the pegs/pins to make smaller walls possibly attachable to those fortification pieces with the snap on connections. Oh man this set was already a must get. Now I’m thinking a few sets if possible to have new building pieces. What a great set! I know it will be a two fer idea and the Joes will get a Dragonfly crew. It’s coming.

Thwipp!

It really is cool how, albeit slowly, this line is doing its level-best to replicate the diorama playset pedigree of the smaller scale stuff. Obviously there's a hard limit to how much you can do at 1/12, but good grief they've really been expanding about as much as one could expect.
