If he gets good reviews I may nab a conan as well. Ill have to see how it all rolls out with money, and tariffs and such too.
That's been my general rule as well, but I don't own a ton of these more boutique style figures. I've kept all my Japanese import boxes. Frazetta in particular is hard to parse - haven't been around long enough to determine if they'll appreciate in value or not. Of course then you've got Mythic Legions where all but the last year or so's worth of figures didn't just retain value but go up faster than gold where you can sell like, the arm of a single figure for thirty bucks or a five year old figure covered in shelf-dust for $400.I like the packaging just because it's nice and I keep extra accessories in there. Same for your ask on the LooseCollector boxes.
My rule is third parties and boutique companies and imports, I keep. Speeds resale, I can store things, and it's generally pretty compact and easy to store.
Mattel, Hasbro, and the like, I toss.
I've never lamented getting rid of a Legends box. If you ever resell, I have never had a buyer ask if I've got boxes for anything like that.
But I did regret getting rid of some third party boxes, and whenever I sell something import or boutique, the packaging is always the first bargaining leverage point which I am able to provide and thus not have to entertain lower offers.
The FG boxes are art in and of themselves, so I don't mind keeping them. I actually was tempted to keep the NECA D&D boxes for the same reason but I ended up razoring off the cover with the cool photography inside to save space since I doubt those figures will be worth much in the long run, but are nice to have.Besides some third party stuff, the only boxes I keep are Mafex and FG Icon stuff. Mostly in case of resale, but honestly, the Icon boxes look great on a shelf.
I don't even count on things appreciating. I keep a pretty fluid collection, and always have something going out. I've found that having the box in general is the difference between making a sale or how some value it. Honestly left to my own devices, I do not care about boxes. As robo says, it's the trash between me and my plastic. That's been my general rule as well, but I don't own a ton of these more boutique style figures. I've kept all my Japanese import boxes. I did unbox these last night and bag the hands and tiny parts because they were rattling around inside the boxes and making me nervous, but I'm gonna hang onto to boxes for now.
Yeah, his line is definitely not one I'd trust to just toss in a box. I did just transfer the three I have to a small box of their own so I could move them around easier to display but I kept the boxes to pop them back in.I don't even count on things appreciating. But the reason I do like them for boutique and import figures is those figures tend to be a little more fragile and also laden with accessories. Legends I have an easier time organizing, and almost any Hasbro or Mattel offering gets bubble wrap rolled into a tote for space.
I like to curate my collection by rotating what's out Because I've got limited space. What I can tell you is if you look at any of the Frazetta figures and joints, I would not trust them in my bubble wrap tote situation. Those are for the box.
Possibly a dumb question and please forgive me if it is, but have you tried commenting on their social media asking for help? They're pretty active on their public facing accounts and maybe a "please help me your customer service is ignoring me" might get their attention there. I see them respond to people in real time on IG and FB.I still can’t get in touch with any humans working at Frazetta Girls regarding my Vampirella order.
I haven’t tried that; I appreciate the suggestion and will give it a try tonight.Possibly a dumb question and please forgive me if it is, but have you tried commenting on their social media asking for help? I hope it works - I've seen some of the Frazettas themselves interact with people there so maybe catching the boss directly will help you get somewhere with the order. Good luck!I haven’t tried that; I appreciate the suggestion and will give it a try tonight.
