General thread for all things Marvel from ZD.

Some quick thoughts on their newest Velocity Suit Spidey. The general sculpt and proportions are fantastic, although I think the hands are a bit too big and feet may be slightly too small. Compared to the ingame model, he's got all the bells and whistles of the suit sculpted very faithfully, which is great. Now, if it were done my way, I'd make the red and light blue parts flat, leaving the basketball texture only for the dark blue and black spots. As is, some details get lost in it, I think, and they've also already given him flat red armor on the lower arms, for some reason.

As for the articulation - it's solid, with a mix of some weird choices. Like, all the joints on this guy are tight and feel very solid, no looseness whatsoever. The forward butterfly range is quite insane. He's able to strike some decent Spidey poses. But on the other hand, someone decided to give this guy basically swilvel wrists and ankles - they've got the usual ZD barbells in 'em, but the parts are cut completely flat. Why? I've never seen that shit on any of their older figures and hell, even the upcoming PS4 Advanced Suit Spider-Man appears to have those areas executed properly. There's also almost no forward bend to the upper body. So yeah, some hits and some misses for sure.

As far as accessories go, he's got the flight stand, 2 sets of eyes (1 more standard Spider-Man style, and 1 more accurate to the ingame suit), 4 pairs of hands (fists, thwips and 2 different sets of splayed outs), and 2 weblines.

I'm happy I bought this guy, waiting patiently for the Advanced Suit and any more Spideys they decide to drop in the future. I'm glad that someone's still making Marvel figures in my favorite scale after DST's demise.
