I didn't see a thread for this but I saw them on BBTS site and they say 1/12 figures. They look kinda cool, but I'm wondering what the quality will be, and at $60 a pop I may wait till they're out. But they look interesting. Any thoughts?

*edit* I've been looking around and they look more like 1/10 scale, which is a bummer. I was debating on getting some but they won't fit with my other stuff. The monsters may still work.

I'd have to dig out my 4 human figures to compare to a couple other lines, but based on memory, they fit pretty well with Mythic Legions figures, and larger Legends.

I ended up pre-ordering some of the Roman's and that exclusive for next year. I watched a review and they look to be in scale with Boss Fight and more so my Elven girls. His broke but I'll probably be super careful with mine. I'll buy a couple and see how they are, but I may cancel them if they hit around the same time as a bunch of other stuff. I could use them for Red Sonja or my Elves. If the ones I ordered are any good I may get some of the monsters. The single elbows kinda suck but they still look cool af.

I have one of the Xesray gladiators, the one with the ornate headdress. And I have one of the females in red armor. I'd have to dig them out to compare scaling. But they're very well-made figures. More poseable than Mythic Legions. A little more cartoony in design. I also have their minotaurs, red rhino, and sabretooth lion guy. Those oversized figures are fantastic. Their only hiccup is they're hands could have longer figures to better grip their weapons. They hold them fine but if the fingers were a bit longer they'd be even more secure.

Pretty disappointed that their new figures are just more fantasy barbarians like a few other companies are doing. I know, I know, they've got all the fantasy stuff in this line already. But given how well they did the Romans, for the most part, I was pretty excited to see some more historical types from them. They were teasing Celts a while ago. Instead, we're getting more fur-covered naked barbarians (with gloves on, for some reason). It's so very meh.

I don’t think the soft goods look good.
Pretty poofy. Curious what the figures look like without the soft goods but with the plastic fur stuff on.

Frankly, the lizard guy isn’t blowing me away. He’s a little too Killer Croc to me.
Don’t really like those shoulder spikes. Granted, they look sculpted to not interfere with articulation. But overall, he just looks a little…bland. Their Minotaurs and rhino had a lot more zing.

The one preorder for next year is a viking chick. I absolutely preordered her cause, Vikings. I kinda wish I would've known about them when the older ones were out. But I'll try these new ones and hopefully they reissue the older ones if I like the new ones. The Viking one is especially awesome to me.

They're okay. New Wave looks like a glow up. Face paint looks better.

They pose slightly worse than Legion because of the overlays and pieces and design. The women feel kind of fragile with the pins used. I've seen them broken on YouTube. I have never broken them. I just take extra care with the elbows and knees. The plastic for the parts outside of joints is great.

I'm going to tell you my biggest disappointment was Berenice. Due to the nature of her armor and the articulation, she has no torso movement at all, except for constant nip slips over the top of the armor. It's frustrating to get her into cool spear poses.

Berenice is getting a 2.0, though.

One of their big selling points is that much like legions you can pop the armor off and kit bash. These joints are tight. The armor itself is so tight that even after heating, it can stain the skin below. Everyone has a different skin tone, so really it's just swapping armor. You will definitely be boiling water anytime you want to do anything with them. Them in fact even to get one of the sheaths to work I had to boil water and now I can't take the sword out.

I have ordered most of the upcoming non animals. It's a line that delivers the designs I want, and just owning them makes feel like a cool toy hipster because people slept on them and now the aftermarket is obscene.

You mentioned boss fight and I put Sonja against the three gladiator women and, nah, I would not say they fit. Sonja is smaller. I mean you could just have a petite sword fighter or call these women bigger, but to me it's like trying to mix a legend with a master verse. That's not for me. I think they're 1/10 because if you put the ladies against Kitana or Supergirl, they hit the same height, thicker proportions.

I'm glad I have them cuz they look cool with medieval Spawn. They had neat ideas with the swappable hair. I can't believe how ridiculous the aftermarket is on these things.
