Saw someone on Reddit do this swap so I tried it:

It's just swapping the new coat and head onto the old body, but it works like this. Also, she stands a bit more secure - the other 97 Jubilee has thrown herself off the shelf AGAIN.

I wish the black hands weren't a mismatch, but I can paint if I decide to keep this version. I know Jubilee can shoot out of her fingertips, but don't her fireworks usually come out of her palms? These are kinda hard to pose looking right and I think that's the problem.

Saw some post on IG, I think from gagabobo, who's been posting full rosters of X-Men with new figures and customs mixed in. He posted Generation X with customs of Synch and Jubilee, and now I need a Jubilee using the double jointed coat from '97 and the smaller teen body in red. Not just a reuse of Monet/Husk. Of course, I need Synch and Skin immediately too.

At least from the '90s comics, it was always the fingertips. She would do the little sparkle fingers with the fingers aiming towards the target and the effects would just kind of appear in front and all around.

@Schizm Hopefully it's big enough to zoom in, cuz I'm not at home, nor currently able to crop it, but I used one of Dazzler's "those old ring effects" with different colored blast effect bases hot glued all around. Also not my original idea, though I think I got it from a FB ML group, as opposed to Reddit.

Looks the most like fireworks to me than any other effect that has either been officially included or third party produced.

Yes! I've seen variations of that and have two saved in my Customs folder to try one of these days. I like the idea of using a ring as a base, I think that was my hang-up before. Maybe today is the day! I have SO MANY custom projects just waiting...

How well do the skin tones match on that kitbash? It's looking alright.

That's been my intention since preordering this new Jubilee - swap the coat and head with the old one. Hopefully I like how it looks.

Jubilee's new head is peachier than the flat skin paint of the VHS body, but the coat shadows help hide the transition, and the size difference.

Updated display! This makes little kid me so happy.

I'm sure I'll keep fiddling, but this is basically it until the Sentinels arrive and this big guy gets relegated to the comics display.

I really thought MS Sabretooth was going to stick out but his aesthetic and size really blend nicely here.

I can take a closer pic of both sides when I get home. Give you a better idea than I had (the pic I took the idea off of was smaller, lower quality, and the guy never responded to my asking for A close-up, lol).

Also, super jealous of that setup. I wasn't able to get most of the 97 figures, let alone the Sentinel. Hoping I can still at least try to get Morph, if just for the Gyrich head.
