X-Men '97

If that Gambit had no torso articulation.......it would have been preferable.

If this is around for a Black Friday sale, I'm in.

I had the same thought. They didn't bother giving Rogue any despite having decent female torso articulation in the can finally.
Rogue's got the upper torso on a ball joint under that soft goods top. She looks to be almost all reuse except for the head. Then you have Starting Lineup Gambit......no money was spent in the making of this two pack. How badly do I need two figures to pay homage to one scene from a cartoon that paid homage of one panel from a comic over 30 years old?

I agree wholeheartedly. I bit because I enjoyed that scene in the comics/cartoons. It's overpriced and minimal effort. I don't recommend that anyone follow my example. In the immortal words of Nicki Minaj, "I am not a role model."

Started with 14,700 units this morning and now it's at about 11,300+. Seems like it will stick around for a while. I purchased because I like the uniqueness, may look into cobbling together a better body for Gambit, but I can use the head and hands to make something more similar to the Jim Lee version.
Are the inventory levels hidden in the HTML code somewhere? I remember that being the case when Pulse first launched, but it's been a while since we could access that info.

That comic (X-Men 4) was my first comic ever. While I think Gambit is pretty crappy, I'm getting the set. I'll use a Weapon X body, find some high tops and gym shorts so Logan can join the 2 on 2.

I really just want the updated Rogue head. I don't think Gambit's as awful as everyone else - we know what happened and why and the way to improve it would have been to give him a cloth shirt as well - so that's lame that they didn't. Or mold him an accurate plastic one - it's not that hard. But I like this for what it is.

I probably wouldn't have given Rogue the updated torso either it it came down to her or another character. How is it going to improve the look of this Rogue, being in bright yellow? It's just adding lines to a clean sculpt.

Gambit is shirtless in the comic. Does he wear a shirt in ‘97?

Nah, he's shirtless in the show too, but most want to pair him with the crop-top shirt he wears in the kitchen scene. Someone on Etsy will likely oblige.

You ever notice how convenient it is which fingers are covered on his gloves?

Why is she always whining about intimacy again? Maybe he's just not good.

It wasn't my first comic ever but is was one of the early ones.

If I'm going to pick a standout from those early adjective less X-Men Jim Lee issues it has to be #8 with Rogue in her polkadot bikini top and Cyclops thirsting for Psylocke (kicking off a subplot that went absolutely nowhere and never should have started in the first place). I remember 13 year old me brought that comic to my week-long Boy Scout camp and got more than a couple of my fellow Scouts into comics for the first time.

14,700 of R/G- and we know Psylocke has sold at least 19k in a month.

Nice to have a little insight on inventory.
