X-Men '97

I told myself I wasn't going to buy the 97 Archangel since I had the regular comic releases of him as Archangel and even X Force Archangel.

But that belief was no match for me standing before the figure in person. It's......it's kind of just perfect. I always loved the last comic Archangel. But this one just has perfect colors. The colors I see in my mind's eye when I think of the character.


I'm going to try and start Season 2 tonight. I'm so excited to watch this.

Was this because you weren't enjoying it, or because you haven't slept in two days and just chose the worst possible time to start a Season 2?
 
The first 3 episodes were fantastic. Really makes me want that MTO Apocalypse figure right about now. I have the smaller retro carded Apocalypse but fucking he’ll do I need the deluxe version

I thought the first three episodes were mostly boring except for the third one. There were parts I liked about each, like the X-Force intro and the beginning of the first episode with Bandana Wolverine, but they all seemed very slow to me for the most part.

I do have to comment on the scene in which Archangel actually uses Cable's gun, which I find to be the lamest pack-in for a figure outside of Hellfire Jean's head coming with Mystique. I'd much rather they had just included the flechete feather effects from the X-Force Archangel and a complete set of hands / closed fists...something I'd actually use.

Hopefully the show picks up as I enjoyed Season 1 more at this point I'd say.
