There's no way this '97 Beast will or should be used for a base for a 616 pre-furry Beast. They should just modify the 2pk Hyperion body for that. That one uses Hercules arms, I believe. 2pk Gladiator also uses parts. Big hands and feet should do wonders. But supe up that torso with those new full rotation butterfly shoulders and lower ab hinge with diaphragm pivot.

Maybe. A season 2 Beast is probably the most likely, but some of these 97 sculpts do appear to be one-offs with Morph being the most obvious. Need to see this Beast up close to have an opinion on if that torso has reuse potential in the comic line. It might not look particularly "animated" with a different paint job.

I'm with you on that... that feature in particular is whats going to keep me from buying this, even for custom options.

Yea, I think thats where I'm at. He looks like he shaved his front. But if it turns out better then it looks, I'll regret not getting one... I also do like the Beasts I have...

Yeah, I get it's based on the animated look...but my brain cannot reconcile that in 3-D form. He's WAY too smooth. All good though...saves me $!

I don't mind the smooth body sculpt for this new Beast figure, it's so accurate to both the 90s cartoon and X-Men 97.

I agree despite what I saod earlier. The more I live with this animated Beast the more I hate everything abou it.

I like that Beast comes with a backpack because it throws back to the original '90s figure I had. That backpack had cool stuff that folded out though.
