X-Men '97

My best guess for them including Emma over another character is just part re-use. They may be able to save a little money, even if the animated style is slightly different from the normal sculpts. I wonder if Goblin Queen has parts they could rework into Emma.

Then again, Beast would probably be mostly re-use too, with the exception of a new head, so I'm not entirely sure. Hasbro gonna Hasbro.

Since this show started, after getting my man Nightcrawler out of the way, my biggest want was Cable, done as well as Bishop from wave 1. I'm thrilled he made the list, but I REALLY hope they give us the big shoulder padded version. I've always loved that look.

I was *sure* this is how we'd get an 80s, graduation costume Cyclops. C'mon, Hasbro! Give me an 80s, graduation costume Cyclops!

Same! It's my big want and they better not **** it up. Just never seems to happen. I like the finale outfit too, but do the proper look finally. Getting sick and tired of waiting.

Finally added series 1 Magneto to the collection yesterday. Snagged a loose one off ebay for not much more than the original price; seller even threw in some custom energy effects, which was cool. Only missing Rogue, which will hopefully not be the case next month if/when Target follows through on their orders.

Bring on wave 3! I need me a Morph and Jubilee pronto!

I wonder when we see them. Even with all the delays we're slowly creeping towards 2026. I hope this fall we get Wave 3. Been a long wait.

I suppose we could always see a tease during this next livestream, but it seems to be focused on the Fantastic Four movie wave. If not then, I'd say SDCC is a pretty safe bet. At this rate, it'll be time for season 2 by the time the next wave comes out!

I didn’t know where else to put this but I got an email notification from Mondo today that my X-Men 97 Times Edition Wolverine figure has been pushed back to October. This was the new tiger stripe sculpt that was supposed to ship this month that comes with the sentinel base and the swappable battle damaged torso and the variant 92 masked head

We've got a Mondo thread.

Rogue reissues have been spotted on the pegs in MN. But she's street dated for no reason whatsoever.

Hmmm? Normally I would say this is a clear case of market manipulation and Hasbro is trying to keep rogue from stagnating in the clearance isle by ensuring she’s always at the $27.99 price point but why would she be street dated if that were so? Very weird

I don't find it weird at all. Her rerelease is due out soon, along with Wolverine, and target has a rich history of putting street dated stuff on the shelves only to have it taken away from buyers once they reach the register. This is Target sop.

Aren't street dates set by the manufacturer, though? It does feel a little silly to street date something from a show that's been out for over a year now, and a figure that's been released before. Target gonna Target, and Hasbro gonna Hasbro. At least she's coming soon; gives me hope my pre-order might come to fruition!

Target randomly sets street dates on figures even when the manufacturer doesn't tell them to. They have two related but different dates in their system; one is street date and the other is shelf date. Shelf date doesn't lock the register but is guidance for when to put it out, and street date means register locked. My guess has always been that the people working at corporate sometimes don't know the difference between the two and erroneously enter the shelf date into the street date field.

Every year for 5+ years there are register-locked figures that make no sense to have street dates, and confusion with shelf date makes as much sense as anything else.
