I haven't really watched wrasslin' (that's the correct spelling, I don't care what anyone says) since I was a kid...which was a LONG time ago. I have nothing but respect for the performers, and I totally see the appeal of the high camp, over-the-top nature of the matches, but I just haven't followed it much in my adult life. That having been said, there are certain wrasslers I love, even if I've never really followed their storylines. Guys like Mick Foley spring to mind, as I read his autobiography years ago at the suggestion of a friend. In more recent years, I've really come to love Danhausen, as he has shown up on things like The Last Drive-in With Joe Bob Briggs.
I've been highly tempted to get figures of the personalities from my childhood, like Rowdy Roddy Piper or Andre the Giant, but I KNOW that is a rabbit hole I'd best not go down. I have friends with huge wrasslin' figure collections, and I can easily see myself doing the same thing...even though the last time I actually followed it regularly Cyndi Lauper was involved! I DID pick up a Roddy Piper figure once that featured his appearance from They Live...I justified that one by putting him with my horror figures. Oh, and I once stumbled across a Danhausen figure in Target, so I had to get him (he also hangs out on the horror shelf. Other than those, I have found a few recently at Ross of performers I am completely unfamiliar with...but I grabbed them for customs (mainly to be victims in...you guessed it...my horror display).
