I thought it might be fun to discuss what our first Marvel figure was. For me, it was this super bendy Spider-Man figure I received from my uncle; the man also got me into Marvel Comics, and even Marvel Legends themselves, but it all started with this bendy 1990 Spidey figure.

At the time, thanks to the Burton movies and BTAS, I was a pretty huge Batman fan (I still am), and my uncle said he needed more variety in what he could get me for holidays and my birthday. Little did he know that he was starting me on a long and Marvelous road...

What about you guys?

My first was a Secret Wars figure some time in the 80s. I only ever had Cap, Doom, and Magneto so it was one of them. My second was the Marvel Legends Deathlok. I had a bit of a dry spell.

My first marvel figure was the Talking Wolverine figure from toy biz that came with the little backpack that would shout 3 different phrases

Based solely on his appearances in the early days of the X-Men the Animated series.

My second was; it was the only figure to unseat my Kenner Keaton 89 Batman figure as my favorite:

I don't think Gambit was my third, I think it was the 80s looking Sabretooth with the flipping claw mark damage abs when punched. But I went on a pilgrimage to many TRU's til I finally found Gambit.

This McDonald's Happy Meal toy from 1996. I don't remember much of my early childhood, but I somehow remember this.

Better torso articulation than most Marvel Legends. *cue rimshot*

I couldn't tell you which one, but I think it was a Secret Wars figure. Pretty good chance my folks bought me two or three at once so guessing Spidey, Cap, and/or Iron Man. I know I didn't even know who Wolverine Was but they got me one and I was hooked for life.

Although I also had what was basically a doll version of Spider-Man with a hollow forearm that you could fill with web fluid, squeeze, and shoot, which might be the most accidentally filthy toy ever invented.

I go back to the late 70s Mego era. You kids with your 47 points of articulation. We had 5poa figures with inapproately pre-posed right arms.
These are my childhood Mego Pocket Heroes with a Marx Daredevil from '67. DD is from before my time, not sure how I got him. He was also released in multiple colors. Hulk's purple painted pants are nice and sticky.

I didn't have any Secret Wars ones. I know I had some Slug Spider-Man toy as a kid, but I couldn't tell u much about it.

The first I REMEMBER was the Toy Biz 5" Marvel Superheroes first wave. Iron Man with the armor that comes off, Spider-Man who shot a web from his arm, Thor, Venom and Green Goblin. There was a Punisher too, but i didnt get him.
