What is the rarest figure you own?

I don't collect for profit either, so I'm not sure if I have much in the rare department.

I do have the original Blue Snaggletooth from the Kenner line found in a 4 pack at Sears.

I also have the original Star Wars mail away 4 figures from Kenner. They are well loved. Luke with a telescoping yellow lightsaber might be somewhat rare.

I have Battlestar Galactica ships. Cylon Raider and Viper with missiles that actually fire their missles. These were pulled from the shelves and replaced with glued in missiles after some kid fired them down his throat. (That kid lead to the mail away Boba Fett losing the ability to fire his backpack missile.)

Maybe DCUC Gleek and a complete Giganta collect and connect.

Toy Biz complete Giant Man BAF and white Sasquatch chase figure also come to mind.

I'm an opener and collect to play and mess around with my figures. So probably not too much of real value. But I love them all ;)

I haven't hunted anything.
Anything I have that MIGHT be worth something, is something I've likely had since it was first released, or close to it.
The only old/vintage toys I might have now, were ones that I've managed to keep since I was a child (my Super Powers figures for example).

Man, I'll be honest with you, I haven't a clue. I don't pay attention to that sort of stuff. I really don't. I never buy anything with the intention of selling it.

I guess in terms of "hard to find", I have quite a few of the AEW chases, including from early series'. Before that, as someone mentioned, I had the white boot "Classic" Mezco Punisher, as well as the Previews Exclusive Frank that came with the massive artillery and red chest plate. I did, however, sell those off (and a majority of my One:12) a while ago for a pretty penny. And then took my wife on a nice vacation. I couldn't believe how much people were willing to pay for One:12's back then.

Same. I have a few I didn't even know were that valuable that I learned about in this thread. DCUC Giganta is worth $? Been trying to sell an extra left arm for awhile now on eBay. Plan to keep my completed one.

I have a vintage POP Netossa that I bought on card for about $60 just to open her so I could have one with good hair and soft goods. She is still worth a lot and I carefully cut the bubble but I have no intentions of selling her. Prices are ridiculous for her now.

Also a few of the later wave vintage TMNT like Halfcourt and Sandstorm that are complete and they are pretty hard to come by now. Sadly I don't have Scratch or Hotspot.

And I have the aforementioned Giganta from DCUC.

I was at SDCC for Gleekgate, didn't get him, but since I was doing my best to get exclusives for everyone else on CriticalMess some fellow board members gave me one.

Otherwise I paid over $100 for the not really released U.S. Agent in Force Works costume from the 5" Iron Man line back in the late 90s.

That reminds me that I have a Gleek and definitely did not go to SDCC which begs the question, how did I get him? Was he never released again later?

Fwoosh gave away some Gleeks if I recall. Not sure how the deal went. Ask one of the mods?

I was able to complete all the Mezco comic Hellboy line of figures. Then got lucky during the pandemic and was able to score the 2 18 inch comic Hellboy I was missing.

I feel like someone from the Fwoosh did get me one now that I think of it. I'm wanting to say it was Phineaus Curmudgeon and now I'm wondering what ever happened to that guy.

They banned him a few years ago. They never gave a reason, as far as I know. He's someone I'd love to have here, but I have no way to get in touch with him. There are several people like that.

Wow had no idea. I just know he was active there and then suddenly disappeared years ago. I know I had a few transactions with him trading and selling.

Fwoosh did a raffle or something for Gleek. That's how I got mine as well.
I think Phin was a part of the board Jason_NC had a couple years ago. I lost that one a while ago during on of my computer issues, so I'm not even sure if that place is still around.

Mine isn't necessarily rare, or even worth a ton. But it's Transformers G1 Ultra Magnus from 1986.

When I was 5, I was at TRU with my folks while they were birthday shopping for my cousin. My parents didn't have a lot of money. I was in the Transformers section, by myself, and came across Ultra Magnus. The '86 animated movie was my favorite thing in the world at 5yrs old, and I desperately wanted him. My Dad finds me in the aisle and hollers at a distance "time to go!". I didn't budge. He walks over to me, and says "hey buddy, we gotta run. Put him down." I remember my hands almost shaking, and as I stared at the box I said "I can't take my eyes off of it." My dad kneeled down, put a hand on my shoulder, and said "hey bud, look at me." I turned my glance to him. He looked me straight in the eyes and said, "ok, you took your eyes off of it. Now put him down, we're heading out." And he got up and left. I was devastated (no pun intended).

That was the last time I ever saw Ultra Magnus, anywhere, until a month ago where at 42 years old my fiancé presented him to me on camera while we were filming a YouTube video lol He's used, and not in a box, but he is 100% complete. I almost cried. Grown ass man of 42, I almost cried. For 37 years, this Grail of mine eluded me. I could have purchased him at any time on eBay, I suppose, but you guys know how it is - once something becomes legend, it can only be found in the wild or presented to you as a gift. Buying on eBay is almost cheating.

Anyway, that is the personal grail of my collection. If we're talking pure value/rarity, then it's probably the 1985 Buddy L Thundertank RC car. I think they go for around $300 in good condition? Mine needs the battery terminals cleaned out, but otherwise it's pretty ok.
