U.S. Politics

I struggle with South Park. I think their wishy-washiness is one of the reasons we're in this mess. They encouraged nihilism for decades and pulled the "both sides" card through the 2016 election. Like many others in their generation and wealth bracket, they didn't want to engage in 2024. It's almost like an entire class of people sleptwalked through the 2024 election even though the stakes were higher than ever.

I'll take all the allies I can get, but watching them do what they could've done a decade ago is a tough pill to swallow.

And their takes on trans individuals has not been kind.

I left South Park behind when they did the “root for your team or get out of the stadium” bit re: the War on Terror.

Matt and Trey are *not* allies.
They are irresponsible children with a bully pulpit.

Ireland intends to pass trade ban with Israeli settlements amid pressure from US Congress

Slovenia has taken action as well and Belgium is expected to follow, and this may trigger a domino effect for the entire EU. With the EU being Israel's biggest trade partner, this could force a two state solution. Saoirse don Phalaistín.

Between the birth control threats and "let's turn DC into a war zone to 'chase out the homeless'" I'm really not ready to deal with the bullshit coming down the pipeline this week.
