I love it when the left and right can come together to police other peoples' emotions and opinions. I'm glad Kirk is dead. He was a vile piece of shit and honestly probably died quicker than he deserved. I don't ADVOCATE for shooting someone that's bad, but I'm not going to just PRETEND I'm sad about it because it's socially unacceptable to think it's funny when a dickhead gets popped.

I ran off almost everyone whose views on, like, TAKING CARE OF OTHER PEOPLE no longer corelated with mine years ago. I no longer with to reconcile with people who cannot be reconciled with. Somehow, Charlie "Empathy is a mistake" Kirk has surfaced two or three people I thought weren't shit decrying "free speech is dead!"
Fucking what. The man had all the free speech a human being could ask for and all he did was do terrible things with it. This isn't the death of free speech. He died with a racist dogwhistle coming out of his mouth while defending mass shootings. There's free speech and then there's getting trampled because you, yourself, yelled fire in a packed theater. This is the equivalent of a man being proudly anti-condom dying of advanced syphilis. It's god laughing.

This makes me staggeringly angry, that nobody gave a shit when she and her husband and dog were brutally murdered but we're suppoed to BE NICE about a guy who said mass shootings are just something we should live with. My personal exhaustion is a lot of the 20 something kids in my program gravitate to me because I'm cool. Their words not me. Program is mostly women, which means the few dudes in the program especially like to orbit. One of them is a Caribbean Christian kid who called Trump a "W president" the week he got elected. I asked why, and he told me it's because abortion is wrong and women shouldn't have control over any of that. Cuz it's a sin and they're going to go to hell.
I told him maybe don't broadcast that any program where we are outnumbered 5 to 1 by young women who are generally pretty progressive. He didn't see what was wrong with telling them that.
Anyway. I have already seen on social. He's posting pro Kirk propaganda and questioning why this happened because he doesn't understand, and I know first thing tomorrow in class he's going to walk up to me. Try to dap me up. And then bring this topic up with a wholesome naivete. Because he really is just ignorant.
And I just don't have the bandwidth or the crayons to walk him through this at the moment. So I'm either. Just going to keep my peace. Or it's going to be a really memorable snap. I have already envisioned this snap, so sure am I how the day will go.
