Third Party Figures

If they are a new company, they look a lot like the XesRay ladies.

Hell, one of the shots in the d_amaing post looks a lot like the new viking woman that's up for order now.

Not that I'm mad or anything. I'll take as many of these types of figures as I can get.

Maybe it's like Romankey and a few other lines I've seen where they license the bodies because their focus is on the head sculpts and accessories?

Brutal Realm just got some competition... I've pestered them so many times about making sure the females are muscular (my words were something like "ripped" and "vascular") and it sounds like they're going to go proper muscle...assuming these things ever exist! I'll buy whatever these Warhorse ones are in the mean time.

As a backer, Brutal Realms has always been the ones who need to prove themselves. The sliding timeline, the constant shifting of what's even coming in those timelines. It's all Fugazi until it's in hand, and one thing I can count on with any of these overseas companies is the just stay quiet and put product out.

Even the recent "were going to factory" paint shots they showed just looked off compared to everything else on the market. I truly don't remember what the scene was like when they went to Kickstarter, but it feels like all of a sudden everyone is coming for sword and sorcery figures and there's going to be a reckoning.

SpicyPsyDuck made a post saying that Warhorse Studio has rebranded as Fangcun Studio. Preorders have been delayed two months to make some adjustments to the figure

It's tricky because we can understand this has been a terrible year to jump in and produce figures overseas...but they also went nuts with the scale of the first wave. At first it was the generic three barbarians and Kronen/Ogun/Croman...then Mato, Killian, Uruk, Kahn, Owl king, Grimskull, Shaddar...that's a lot of designed figures without releasing anything. Not to mention planning females and furry warriors. I wonder how the prices will fluctuate next year, and if the BBTS prices will stay where they're at (I'm 50/50 invested some on BBTS, some on KS).

Bummer that it's been 14 months since backing and we're not even a single step closer to having these things in-hand. I'm glad I'm not the only backer here, it's a little bit embarrassing. But I still love talking about the product. In the meantime, hopefully these Warhorse gals aren't too expensive, the blanks in particular look interesting. I do wish companies with blanks would take the BR route of making blanks into simple figures instead, with a face-up and underwear.

The engineering on this thing seems insane
