Third Party Figures

I put in an order for a basic orange and a basic white. I don't need that armor. I just want big action figure kitties.

I debated doing two basic, or one with and one without armor, but ended up doing both armored because of my dumb brain.

Whose job is it to put the armor on these Tigers? What is the cost to insure these guys? Bet the turn over is insane. I bet you its strictly gig work. The pressure gotta be worse than an air traffic controller. Not many big cats want you to get near their bellies.

We're talking about big cats...Dek isn't to blame. It's that bitch Carol Baskin's fault!
How the Hell does the fact she was a suspected murderer make the third episode because its one of the less shocking things about the people in Tiger King?

And I accept the blame. Because no one ever regretted buying a giant poseable Tiger, so I can only be the hero in this scenario.

Wait, so the armored tigers only have the saber-toothed head, or both? I prefer the non-saber heads, maybe I'll have to cancel and just get unarmored tigers.

...i missed that too and put in deposits for the armored versikns. Would also prefer the short fang heads, which - if you and I are representative - is why they did this I guess.

I was able to cancel my armored ones. I like the normal heads more than I like the armor overall, I guess.

Good to know! this made my decision for me, one of each unarmored. I much prefer the short fang sculpt.

I’m not that fond of the armor pieces but was going to order them anyways because the price was close.

I was kinda the same. Didn't LOVE the armor, but figured I'd just get it in case I warmed up to it over time. But the heads decided it, the sabers are just too goofy long for me.

Yesterday I got my Hellcat Aragorn. I took a few bad pictures, I'll take more later. Overall he's incredible. The sculpt and paint apps are honestly insane for the scale, he's easily the most realistic figure in my collection. The eyes are shiny and detailed, and you can see the individual hairs in the beard and eyebrows, the wrinkles of the lips, etc. The skin has that 'mottling' effect hot toys tends to to on their 1/6 figures and the hands have tiny veins painted in them. The likeness is quite good in hand, although the eyes are a bit small and you really gotta mess with the hair somewhat to get him looking his best. In these photos I've only watered it a bit to keep it down. But still, he's the single best Viggo likeness we've ever gotten below 1/6 scale.

The clothes are amazingly well tailored and have great texture; they really feel worn out and battered, just like they should. The layers don't look too bad, he looks a tiny bit bulky with everything on but don't mind it. I did have some trouble putting on the belt the first time, I watched Inart's video on how to do it and it wasn't too hard in the end. The body is a bit too long in the lower legs though, I've seen people cut up the lower legs to shorten him, but I'm not doing that.

The articulation is alright, but the shoulders and hips are quite stiff and hard to move. The shoulders specially worry me, and they simply don't have that much range. Oh and he basically has no ankle pivot, since the ankles are ballhinges and they peg down into the foot instead of to the front like most figures. This hinders a lot of poseability honestly, however the feet being magnetic (and including a magnetic base) does help things out a bit. In the end I think this is more of a looker than a poser, and while that's a bit disappointing to me, it's okay.

The accessories are amazing, from the die cast weapons to the (what feels like) real leather belts to the wired lothlorien cape. Anduril is a bit too small though, it should have been around 12cm and it is about 10cm long. He has the pendant Arwen gave him on the tiniest real chain I've ever seen, it's insane how small it is! The base has a poseable arm included but mine came with one of the hinges broken and it basically doesn't work. Again, the magnetic base makes this a moot point.

Overall I would say he's one of the best figures in my collection. It's insane how much he looks like a tiny person standing on my table! Aragorn is one of my favorite characters, from my favorite movies and there hasn't really been any good 1/12 or similar figures of him. He's easily the best of the bunch, and while the articulation leaves a bit to be desired (at least to me), he looks so realistic and detailed that I don't mind him just standing there in my table (I mean, I have most figures just standing there anyways).

I'll definitely be looking how Notta's Aragorn shapes up. Their Legolas looks amazing so far, hopefully their Aragorn comes out good too and they continue the line.

I've been looking at the Tigers too. I prefer the smaller fangs also, but just $13 more for those amazing looking armors with 2 led modes seems crazy to pass on. I really with they came with both heads.
