The Top Heroes Poll

[Red Ogre]

1) Red Wolf & Lobo are high up on my want list. I first read about them in an early issue of MCP (my first regularly purchased series).

2) Valkyrie needs an update. There are too few female Asgardians and her figures have been outdated before they collected their dust mote.

3) Bucky was my solid third choice. That's not saying I don't want him, it's just that the first two are a bigger priority.

4) Mantis, I guess. This could have gone to Aunt May, or Hepzibah & Raza Longknife. I don't really have any affection for the Starjammers, but I hate seeing an unfinished team.

Went with Red Wolf & Lobo, Mantis, Jack of Hearts and Hepzibah/Raza. First three are among biggest overall wants, fourth went to almost complete the Starjammers. When they get around to Hepzibah/Raza, they should include a pack-in Sikorsky.

I'm sure I read that issue of FF a mere three years ago, but I have no recollection of Jack in there. Getting old sucks.

It seems odd to have Hepzibah & Raza Longknife as one choice in a poll where the others are single choices? Is there something that I am missing?

No.... how is Gargoyle losing to Valkyrie?... sure the figures we have of her aren't great, but we do have them. Gargoyle's got nothing but a little Super Hero Squad guy...

Here's where I stand with it, for my Defenders shelf: Valkyrie is a member of the OG team from issue #4-152. You can't have a shelf without her. And the most recent existing figure is an antique, it looks embarrassing, especially side-by-side with Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer, and the Hulk -- some of Hasbro's best efforts, I think.

I adore Gargoyle. I really do. But holy shit, sometimes the "existing figure" of a character is so old/ bad that it's like the character doesn't exist at all.

A Valkyrie figure even half as good as Power Princess (which I imagine she'd be built off the tooling for) would be a thing of absolute beauty.
