This is a team that I think about a lot and I think the size of it has been a detriment to the team's inclusion in Marvel Legends. I know there are many of us who have them pretty high on their wish lists but I also know they don't often make the top 10 because of the fact that including every member would almost constitute an entire top 10 itself. I'm afraid that this sends a message to Dwight and Ryan that they aren't high on our lists when we present our top 10 to them. The New Mutants as a team are probably #1 on my want list but don't make my top 10 when I list it out.

The more modern team was famously started years ago with the Dani Moonstar release that was kind of a half-assed way to get some of the characters to us. We've all been waiting for the male version to come to give us Cannonball, Cypher, and Sunspot but it never happened. At this point if it did the yellows probably wouldn't even come close to matching. Never mind that the characters wouldn't even be entirely accurate. Karma needed a metal leg and I don't believe Wolfsbane was even on the team during the time they wore that uniform.

Back to the classic training uniform team, multiple looks compound the problem of the already large team. I'd want Sunspot, Wolfsbane, and Magma in their standard uniforms and as powered up versions. You also have the hurdle of Warlock having been released as a BAF years ago now and may warrant a re-release at this point. How would Hasbro even tackle all of this? I feel like it is a can that the design team keeps kicking down the road because it is just too big of a task. I don't want them released scattered over 5+ years because of the fact that the colors will never match. It needs to be all produced at the same time like the X-Men 3 packs were..

So questions for you all. Do you want the New Mutants in Legends and if so, which versions? Do you think Hasbro will eventually get them out and if so how do you think they will do it? How would YOU do it?

If this has enough response I want to do it for a few other teams that we are still majorly lacking in Marvel Legends. Not putting the New Mutants in your Articulated Thoughts top 10 is a huge mistake, FWIW. 😄

Hasbro should've been sprinkling them into X-Men waves for years now. I like your idea of releasing multiple multipacks at the same time. Then the yellows would actually match.

Short of that, I'd put out a big five-pack and release the rest in X-Men waves down the line. A five-pack of Magik, Cannonball, Cypher, Mirage, and Warlock makes sense to me. Get updates of the heavy-hitters out and throw in Doug. He's probably the most important member without any ML representation.

I voted for Cypher, Magik, and Mirage. The New Characters Only Brigade isn't going to want to hear this, but they all need updates (except Warlock). I don't care as long as Rahne is last. Never cared for her.
 
Would definitely pick up a New Mutants Boxset but also would include Karma and Moonstar/Mirage in it. If I had to change out one on your list to get those two, I'd take out Magik. She's on a current X-Men team, has her own series now and easily could stand on her own. Voted for Cypher, Karma and Warlock. Magma would easily have been my fourth choice. We also still need Rusty Collins/Firefist, Skids, and Birdboy/Birdbrain, who could be a cool-looking figure if done right.
 
Magma and Cypher are both easy Top 10 wants overall for me, so let's start there with a 2-pack! They would be instant buys in any look or costume they released them in.

The others I'm mostly fine with what we've got, but with Dani and Karma being the two that would likely most benefit from a dedicated update rather than sharing a body with alternate heads like they got the first time around.

Cannonball, Magik and Sunspot get my votes for my favorite 3, in that order. I just don't necessary need/want a new figure of any of those. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't buy them if they were made. Honestly the Walgreens Magik that we got might just be my favorite Marvel Legends figure.

Original training uniforms (although it looks like there's some belt variation over the years) of the whole team would be great, but if we only get one of each then I'd want Magma, Wolfsbane, and Sunspot in powered up versions.
 
I would buy the first 8 or so members on teen bodies in the training uniforms. Reminds me to finish painting the GI Joe wolf brown/auburn to put with the half ass Walgreens ones we have.
 
I voted for Mirage, Cannonball, and Magma but I’ve always liked them all. Except Warlock. I’ve never liked him.

Original uniforms are preferred, but I’ve always liked the look of the later Second Coming uniforms. Those are swank.

Full disclosure. What I REALLY want is Valkyrie Dani Moonstar. SHE is my favorite.
 
I would buy the New Mutants in any of their team looks. Absolutely not to the movie versions though.
 
Need them in their Sienkiewicz looks.

Total redo, as that original NM offering is outdated and gross compared to what they put out now.

Voted for Dani, Sam, and Illyana.

Should get a Lila in the mix, too.
