Got super excited when I saw this thread title. The classic training uniform New Mutants are one of the biggest holes in my ML collection!

Cannot get them soon enough ... and they'd be so easy to do! New bucks, sure, but with loads of reuse potential. Namely training uniform Kitty Pryde, who's my single most-wanted figure at this point.

I have a ton of nostalgia for the title as one of the first I started reading/ collecting back in high school. I've been seriously scaling back my ML buying for years, but anyone from this group would be a gleeful day one buy.

I'd also totally get the movie versions? Or at least Magik & Lockheed. Perhaps bafflingly, they're some of the only movie MLs I *do* want. Please don't ask me to explain this.

My Top 3 favorite New Mutants are Magik, Mirage, and Wolfsbane. Magik is overall on of my favorite Marvel characters period. I really liked Anya Taylor Joy's portrayal of Magik in New Mutants the movie.

But I definitely want the New Mutants in Marvel Legends. The pictures you shared on the first post Justice, I'd love to have any and all New Mutants in any of those looks. X-Men and "X" related characters are my favorite part of Marvel Legends. So, the New Mutants would all be instant buys for me in any fashion.

My votes went to Cannonball, Sunspot, and Magik. Also, poor Karma. I'm glad one of you loves her. She always felt a bit redundant to me with Mirage being on the team. I know their powers are different but they are both mental powers so still feel a bit redundant and I think for me Mirage (who would be my #4) had a bit more character development.

For a while there in the mid-80s, I found the New Mutants to be a way better mutant team than the X-Men. I loved the ways their powers came with limitations to overcome, such as Sunspot only having super-strength (and with a time limit on that) or Cannonball only being "invulnerable while blastin'." There was an ongoing process of learning to use their powers and overcome or work around those limitations. The excitement of early X-Men, for me, was how each mutant had one power, and they had to be clever and work as a team to get it to win out. New Mutants was this model exactly, especially when compared to the X-Men at the time who sometimes had as many powers as you wanted to give them, like Rogue's permanently-stolen Ms. Marvel powers, Nightcrawler also being a super-agile guy with a tail, or Storm just being able to do anything that meets the *concept* of weather.

It didn't hurt that, in the mid-80s, I was the same age as the New Mutants characters. The "this could be me" appeal to the series was strong. Especially when they allowed the nearly-powerless Cypher to join the team.

Over in the Top 10 poll, I pitched the idea of a New Mutants boxed set that would have five of the characters that have unique looks (like an all-black Sunspot and a Mirage with unique costume accessories) to go alongside generic teen girl and generic teen boy training uniform single releases with multiple head options. This is my ultimate dream deal of getting one of my favorite Marvel teams as figures.

The reuse potential that comes with making this team in their black and yellow should be a dream come true for Hasbro. I suppose it's good that they just renewed the license because unfortunately, baring some kind of box set or a dedicated wave, we are years and years away from completing this much-asked-for team considering they have yet to make ANY of them. Well, I guess we got Warlock all those years ago, so if you want to consider that a "start" go ahead. And now that I'm thinking about that figure for the first time in a while, dang, they did a good job on him. Great expressive head sculpt. Sculpted detail brought to life with paint (!), I look forward to the day he is no longer an island character on my toy shelf.

I would 100% take the version of the team that has Rictor, Rusty, Skids, and Boom Boom and the corresponding costumes but still want the training uniforms.

Rusty and Skids are among my top ML wants.
