I spoke to Dwight a little bit today. Actually yesterday since it's now 1:23 AM as I type this. I asked, purely as a hypothetical you understand since no Golden Age Human Torch figure has been officially announced (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), IF you folks were going to make a Torch figure, would he be fully flamed on or would you do him in his red costume, or both? Dwight replied, purely hypothetically (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) , that a flamed on version would sell better but the red costume would be cool. Then I asked about Toro and Bucky, and he said there have been a few times when the team has submitted Bucky's name to the higher ups at the company for approval, but it's always been rejected. Bottom line, don't hold your breath for a complete Invaders. But after 25 years, I'll take what I can get. I guess Cap, Namor, the Torch and Union Jack will have to do for now.
Getting Ryan his cards will be a challenge. He doesn't spend a lot of time in the Hasbro booth since he's no longer with the company. Hopefully he'll be at the Legends panel tomorrow. If not there, he'll be at two actionfigureinsider.com panels at the Marriott, one tomorrow (actually, later today) and one on Saturday. I'm going to catch him.
You know what's great about having dinner downtown during Comic Con? The most interesting guests pop in for a visit:
I saw Fantastic Four tonight and I loved it. I will have more to say on @Ru1977's MCU thread in the Lounge when this convention thingie is over, but for now I will just say it was wonderful.
@Beamish and @PantherCult, I will see you both at the Legends panel tomorrow! You've seen my picture so you know what I look like. I'll try and get us a seat up front.
Good night, everyone!
