The Complaint Thread

I've been 45 for 8 months which means I've put it off for long enough. I have to schedule my first colonoscopy 👊 😖 👊😖👊😖
 
Make sure you follow the doc's directions to the letter. When I went for mine (God, it's the worst), the lady next to me didn't drink the entire bottle of MoM and she had to reschedule to do it again. :sick: I can't image going through that hell twice within a month. Be sure to pamper your bung (no pun intended) afterward. ;)

I have to get my first prostate exam sometime in the near future, since I've been putting it off for a while. I am not enthusiastic about it.

Friend of mine went in for his last year and at the front desk they told him they don't take his insurance any more.
He had to reschedule some place else and do the whole thing over again. 💩

The pinnacle of my adult life was reading "EXCELLENT prep" on my after visit notes from the doctor. I think the swimming pool sized quantity of water I consumed during my fast definitely helped.
 
My daughter is doing an online tutoring class this summer and they're using Google Classroom, and Zoom. It starts at 9am daily. At 8:55am, my wife calls "I can't get this Cammy thing to work for her class." The what? "I started Google Classrooms, and it said I need Cammy as well." Well, I'm at my desk at work, so I don't really have a clue. I thought it was the GC and Zoom. "I don't know. I'll figure it out. Thanks. Bye."

Come to find out, it's Kami, a PDF mark up app. I still didn't know she needed that as well.
 
ARGH! Movies Unlimited just ripped off the bandaid and cancelled 7 toy preorders (from 3 different orders at the same time. In 20+ years of using them and/or their sister sites I've only ever had one other 1 other preorder item (GIJ Deluxe Snow Serpent--which I never was able to get) cancelled. Now the scramble is on. Here's my list:

Tomorrow I am tasked with driving four hours to put down our cat. $331 to do it in the cities, $75 to do it at a rural vet.

Next week I get to have a second biopsy. Results of the first biopsy were inconclusive so they want to treat it like melanoma to be on the safe side. This time I'll get stitches.

And the week after that: colonoscopy!

This is all in addition to the really big adulting situation that I have been dealing with for the past eight months that would require it's own thread and is well beyond the "complaint" category.

The Summer of Fun just keeps going strong.
 
Sorry to hear of your difficult times. For whatever reason, life always loves to continuously test our mettle. My family always lived by that saying "Life always happens all at once". It's really helped us appreciate the quiet, seemingly boring moments; I hope life goes easy again on you soon, my friend! Hang in there!
 
I fucking hate ice cream truck music so much. Why is it fucking legal for some asshole with overpriced ice cream to blare high-pitched shitty 8-bit music while crawling down the street. I gotta listen to this shit for like ten solid minutes, then it disappears for a little while and ten more minutes of ear-rape as they go back the other way.

No one ever buys anything, because no one wants to pay 6 dollars for an ice cream bar that costs 6 dollars for a pack of five at the store that's literally a three minute walk from my home. But even if people DID buy things from this asshole, it's still fucking infuriating to have my afternoons and evenings disrupted with his obnoxious bullshit. I hope his stupid little moped version of a truck explodes.
 
I don't want to job-shame anybody - but yes, in 100% of cases that is true.
